Principal Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, managing analytical projects, and ensuring the delivery of accurate and relevant analyses to support client’s organizational goals.
  • Oversees the analysis of large and complex datasets stored in the data warehouse.
  • Develop, extract and replicate insights and trends gained from large and complex of healthcare data available (medical claims, drug claims, disability, etc.) to promote population health decision making and strategy.
  • Understand the data (including source, meaning, and application), the reporting system capabilities, and can use this knowledge to communicate effectively to with internal team and clients, as appropriate.
  • Ensures data quality and integrity in analytical outputs.
  • Leverage advanced reporting server(s), and work with the identified scope to develop, and maintain enhanced reporting and dashboards for the client(s) to guide direction and best practices for application of the data.
  • Perform financial analysis for all coverages, examining both overall cost and benefit structures, various plan design and contribution modeling on both fully insured and self-funded accounts.
  • Knowledge of the carrier claims reporting process as it relates to content and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage both internal and external client deadlines.
  • Ability to develop custom financial modelling at the client’s request and/or the ability to incorporate a “non-standard” request using our existing tools
  • Attend client meetings/conference calls as needed
  • Remain current on industry trends and information, new product information, legislation, regulatory requirements, coverage’s, compliance and technology; communicate changes and address issues with clients on a proactive basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Health Informatics, Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 plus years of experience working in the health data analytics field; preferably in a data analytics role at a consultancy or brokerage
  • Strong working knowledge of healthcare analytic methodologies, healthcare payer challenges, solutions, strategies and key performance indicators
  • Experience using healthcare data analytics tools such as Springbuk, Artemis, Merative, Cedar Gate, Milliman, HDMS or other similar tools
  • Comfortable leveraging Tableau and SQL
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to make verbal in person presentations to internal staff and prospects/clients.
  • Ability to work independently on projects and in a consultative team environment.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Access and Word.

    Working Conditions

    Office environment with moderate noise level; able to work flexible hours and travel to other Conner Strong offices and Client work sites as needed.

    Compensation:

    Salary for this position ranges from $80,000.00 - $100,000.00. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.

    Qualifying positions will also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, such as participation in family medical and dental insurance programs, 401K plan, and PTO.
