Head of Indirect Tax, CloudKitchens - Europe
Who we are
CloudKitchens helps restaurateurs around the world succeed in online food delivery - our goal is to make food more affordable, higher quality and convenient for everyone.
We take underutilized properties and transform them into smart kitchens so they can better serve restaurateurs, customers and the neighborhoods they’re in. Every time we launch a new facility we create jobs in that neighborhood, and we’re proud to provide a wide range of cuisines and options for healthy food at an affordable price.
We're changing the game for restaurateurs whether they’re entrepreneurs opening their first restaurant all the way through to your favorite global quick-service restaurant chains.
What You’ll Do
-
Own the end-to-end indirect tax function for the Europe region, covering VAT compliance, advisory, audits, reporting, and process improvement across dozens of jurisdictions.
-
Advise senior stakeholders on indirect tax implications of new product launches, corporate structuring, supply chain flows, and commercial agreements.
-
Lead relationships with external tax advisors and local tax authorities, ensuring effective risk management and governance.
-
Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations to maintain tax integrity across entity structures, contracts, and reporting.
-
Drive automation and process enhancement for VAT compliance, leveraging technology and shared services support.
-
Partner with the Global Tax Lead on strategic tax initiatives and play a visible role in shaping the tax roadmap for a high-growth, international business.
What we’re looking for
-
6–10 years of indirect tax experience, ideally from a Big 4 firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, PwC) working with multinational clients in real estate, logistics, ecommerce, or supply chain-heavy industries.
-
Deep technical expertise in European VAT frameworks, with ability to apply that knowledge pragmatically in fast-paced commercial contexts.
-
A track record of managing cross-border compliance and delivering indirect tax advisory in a multi-entity, multi-country setup.
-
Experience working in-house is a plus—but not essential. We’re excited by candidates ready to make their first move from practice into industry.
-
Comfortable managing complexity and building from zero—this isn’t a maintenance role; it’s a builder role.
