Job Description:
As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing 2 to 4 facilities, ensuring high-quality service, optimal productivity, and maintaining our facilities at a consistently high level of quality. You will be responsible for the P&Ls of your facilities and these will form part of your KPIs assessed during your performance review. In addition, you will be tasked with project management responsibilities, implementing new processes within the facilities to drive efficiency and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Management: Responsible for the compliance (H&S, Fire, Food Safety) of 2 to 4 facilities, ensuring they operate smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Monitor and address issues related to maintenance, cleanliness, operational readiness, and compliance.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain the facilities at a consistently high level of quality. Ensure adherence to health and safety standards, implement quality control measures, address any identified issues promptly, and carry out regular audits.
- Team Management: Hire, train, and manage teams to ensure high-quality service and productivity. Direct, motivate and guide Assistant Ops Managers to achieve their performance targets. Manage any disciplinary actions and actively participate in disciplinary investigation when required.
- Project Management: Implement new facility processes, driving improvement and growth. Manage project timelines, resources, and outcomes to ensure successful implementation.
- Licensee Services: Deliver outstanding service to our licensees, fostering strong relationships. Actively take part in the onboarding process ensuring licensees are made aware of site requirements and equipment lists are promptly approved. Act as a point of contact for any issues or queries escalation, ensuring swift resolution and collaborating with Client Ops in case of an investigation.
- Use the appropriate tools (Zendesk, Infraspeak, Food Alert) to carry out site audits, respond promptly to licensees and internal stakeholders, and manage maintenance tasks and contractors’ attendance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management or related roles, ideally within the food tech, retail, logistics or hospitality industry (3-5 years).
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations Management, or Hospitality is an asset
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct the work of others
- Proven track record in project management and implementing new processes
- Proven ability to manage projects and drive change
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service
- Comprehensive knowledge of the logistics and food tech environment
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required
