What you’ll do

HVAC/R & Facilities Maintenance

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems.
     (WIC/R, RTUs, exhaust fans, hoods, make-up air units, DOAS systems).
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues across multiple sites.
  • Support refrigeration and kitchen ventilation systems.

Facility Operations Support

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Handle basic electrical and plumbing maintenance as needed.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and warranty work.

System Performance & Troubleshooting

  • Use Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor performance and diagnose issues.
  • Provide remote troubleshooting support to onsite teams and vendors.
  • Review reports (startup, testing, balancing) to verify system performance.

New Site Support

  • Assist with new facility openings by verifying installation and system functionality.
  • Identify issues early and coordinate corrective actions.

What Your Week Looks Like

  • 70% hands-on HVAC/R maintenance & repair.
  • 20% troubleshooting & diagnostics (onsite + remote).
  • 10% inspections, reporting, and system verification.

 

What we’re looking for

Required

  • 4+ years of commercial HVAC/R experience.
  • Experience working with rooftop units, ventilation systems, or refrigeration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites locally.

Preferred

  • HVAC certification (EPA, trade school, or equivalent).
  • Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site facilities.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Field-based role across the Greater Newark, NJ area.
  • Local travel between sites (home daily).
  • Monday–Friday schedule with on-call rotation and overtime opportunities.

This role is based in our Newark office location. As a company driven by innovation and continuous change, close collaboration is essential. We’re constantly reimagining our industry, creating new products, and refining our processes, and we do our best work together. That’s why all of our office-based teams work onsite, five days a week. 

The base starting rate for this role is $45.00/hr.

Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

How many years of commercial HVAC/R experience do you have? *

The ideal candidate is someone that can handle more complex repairs, change a compressor, detect leaks, swap out major parts, handle sub cooling super heat issues vs. someone who just does the PM work; changes filters and cleans coils ect.
