Sr. Customer Service Specialist
Compton, CA
Location: 19431 S. Santa Fe Ave., Compton, CA 90221
Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Manage key customer accounts, reviewing service requirements and setting priorities to support trucking plans and scheduling decisions.
- Oversee OOG and other complex orders, adjusting plans during delays or exceptions and coordinating with terminals, carriers, and yard teams to resolve escalated issues.
- Analyze major service issues, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements. Update SOPs and workflows to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Review critical documentation (B/L, POD, invoices, permits, additional charges) for accuracy and regulatory compliance. Provide oversight for on-site operations and step in for escalated cases.
- Support cross-functional projects aimed at improving customer experience and operational quality.
- Provide guidance to junior team members on advanced processes and customer handling.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 year of relevant work experience preferred.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate professionally
- Must have experience working with Excel
- Must be detailed oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize
- Must be a team player and also be able to work independently
- Strong verbal and written skills along with good interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to focus and work in a high paced multi-tasking environment
- May have travel to job site and port/CFS facilities
- Proficient in Korean & English required
