IT Desktop Technician

As the IT Desktop Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and gain valuable skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability. 
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues. 
  • Repairing or replacing damaged hardware. 
  • Upgrading systems to enable compatible software on all computers. 
  • Installing and upgrading corporate software to ensure security at the user level. 
  • Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware. 
  • Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for helpdesk. 
  • Establishing good relationships with all departments and employees. 
  • Providing updates to inventory tracking system 
  • Managing technical documentation. 

This position is required to be onsite and located in Columbus, OH.

 


 

Requirements

Necessary Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a technical support role, preferably in an IT environment.
  • Experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware and software, including Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • The ability to obtain a US government security clearance post start date. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required
