Who are we looking for? 

We’re looking for an experienced lead brand designer to join Culture Amp’s creative team within the marketing practice to drive the evolution of our brand and creative. You will work closely with cross functional marketing teams, to build impactful experiences across innovative marketing campaigns and brand building programs. 

You are an experienced design generalist, who brings curiosity to everything you do. You know how to tell an engaging story and skilfully take stakeholders and collaborators on the journey with you. You’re equipped with strong conceptual skills and have what it takes to bring ideas to life through polished execution and continuous iteration and learning. A successful lead brand designer brings together innovative ideas, design thinking, craft and collaboration to drive successful projects and outcomes. 

We are looking for someone with good motion design and video editing skills in addition to design. We’re looking to build how Culture Amp sounds and behaves in motion and video, as well as upleveling our storytelling capabilities on owned and paid channels. The ideal candidate can incorporate motion easily and find ways to make motion and video work become scalable. You’ve already explored how AI workflows can help in these efforts and are ready to lead those conversations as well. Additionally you are also ready to help with static design needs of any size and scope as we will need design support beyond motion and video for this role. We’re hoping to fill this role with someone who is equally comfortable bouncing between design that moves and design that is static. Perhaps you started out as a visual designer and then expanded into motion and video. 

The Team 

The Creative Studio is a small but integral part of Culture Amp and design is instrumental in creating memorable and impactful brand experiences, connecting our audiences with Culture Amp’s mission of creating a better world of work. This is an opportunity to be part of a highly cross-functional marketing team and have a measurable and meaningful impact on the company’s growth trajectory. 

What you'll need to be successful 

  • 7+ years of experience working as a designer with-in a marketing function client side, or equivalent agency experience. Experience working in a fast growth B2B business is highly desirable
  • A portfolio that shows strong strategic thinking and creative concept development and execution for multi-channel marketing campaigns as well as examples of well crafted motion and video projects.
  • An ability to translate complicated product visuals from static into GTM visualizations, translating complex ideas into marketable motion and video deliverables. You need to be familiar with UI/UX design in order to build animated screen interactions and bring product storytelling to life with motion. 
  • Digital design knowledge and an interest in driving creative technology and innovation to optimise and scale design processes, templatise production and improve efficiencies with-in creative workflows including mastery over AI workflows for imagery, video and motion.
  • Experience working in partnership with marketers to deliver growth results across digital marketing channels at scale, including developing creative for global audiences and regional nuances
  • Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills to connect and simplify complex ideas and evolving project requirements
  • Excellent judgment in decision making, managing and communicating trade-offs when collaborating with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate the ‘why’, and lead discussions around your process, explorations, and conclusions
  • A growth mindset and drive to continually experiment with new ideas, develop and improve your skills
  • Experience working with and guiding creative agency partnerships to deliver complex creative projects end-to-end.
  • A passion for mentoring designers and growing design capability 

Required technical skills and program competencies

  • High proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • AI-assisted tools (Claude, Image and Video generators, node-based workflows for imagery, motion and video) and familiarity with project management and marketing operations tooling, for example - Slack (comms), Asana (project management), and Canva (templates).
  • Bonus points for knowledge of code based visual/motion design (HTML, CSS, Lottie files)

What you'll be doing 

  • Drive creative development and thoughtful brand exploration to deliver impactful creative and set new standards for brand and marketing design systems at Culture Amp with an emphasis on motion and video. 
  • Developing concepts, creative direction and brand application of integrated and paid campaigns and project delivery across digital and physical applications. Applications could include campaign identities, editorial content, reports, social media assets, video, motion and experience design direction. 
  • Drive the development of systemizing motion and video work at scale. 
  • Partner with marketing functions (growth, regional, product, brand marketing) to contribute to cross-functional planning and strategy discussions. 
  • Collaborate with mixed creative disciplines; designers, illustrators, photographers, motion designers and video editors to art direct high quality creative and provide feedback and clear, on brand guidance 
  • Present a vision, concepts and solutions to stakeholders, communicate the impact of design in solving business problems, rationalize decisions and incorporate feedback 
  • Facilitate creative workshops and ideation sessions including the development of AI-assisted workflows using tools such as Claude, Weavy, Descript and any new AI powered creative tools
  • Share ideas with your team and contribute to the growth and development of creative practice and design systems guidelines as the company scales

For this role, the estimated base salary range is listed below. In addition to base salary, your compensation package will include additional components such as equity and benefits. For sales roles, your package may also include sales commission

The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual skills, capabilities and experience, objectively assessed during the interview process. Base Salary Range (US)

$130,000 - $160,000 USD
