Senior Maintenance Technician
Job Type: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
Shift: Monday to Friday - 6:30 am to 4:00 pm
Hourly Wage Range: $26.25 to $29.50/hr with benefits
Location: Litchfield, IL
Who You Are:
As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will oversee and perform complex maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems. You will lead and mentor junior staff, develop and implement preventative maintenance programs, and ensure all equipment complies with safety regulations. Additionally you will also troubleshoot technical issues, manage maintenance records, and collaborate with other teams to optimize equipment performance.
What You’ll Do:
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and other system failures.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Supervision and Mentorship: Lead, train, and mentor junior maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and quality standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Collaboration: Work with other teams (e.g., operations, engineering) to optimize equipment performance and address issues.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and manage corrective actions.
- Procurement: Assist in the procurement of maintenance supplies and spare parts
What You’ll Bring:
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and other relevant systems.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Ability to lead and guide junior team members.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and other departments.
- Organization and Record-Keeping: Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Safety Consciousness: Commitment to following safety procedures and promoting a safe work environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks and work in various environments.
- Relevant Certifications: May require specific certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical) depending on the role and industry,
Even Better If:
- You have experience with industrial automation
- You bring experience with reading prints, sketches, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- You are skilled in using industrial hand and power tools and troubleshooting devices
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to occasionally climb ladder, crawl under low spaces
- Ability to use computer/look at a screen for long periods of time
- Ability to have close vision (able to read small print at 20 inches or less)

Illinois Hiring Range
$26.25 - $29.50 USD
