Lead Pharmacy Technician
Type of Work: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Shift Availability: Open availability required, including mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Starting Hourly Pay Rate: $23.75
Location: 814 E Main St, Stamford, CT 06902
Who You Are:
As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting our dispensary operations. You’ll work closely with the Pharmacist and retail team to ensure accurate prescription processing, inventory management, and a seamless patient experience. You will support the Management team in day-to-day operations, leading by example with strategic selling and maintaining a positive, energetic presence on the sales floor and back of house. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone passionate about cannabis, compliance, and patient care.
What You'll Do:
- Assist patients with product questions and provide knowledgeable, compassionate service
- Supervise and support pharmacy technicians to ensure exceptional customer service and operational efficiency
- Educate patients on safe and responsible cannabis use
- Prepare and dispense cannabis products in compliance with state regulations
- Assist in executing a business strategy that maximizes achievement in sales, payroll, customer loyalty program, and inventory accuracy
- Execute of task directives within designated time frames (promotional updates, stock replenishment, cash handling, floor monitoring, inventory counts, and online order processing) with speed, accuracy, and efficiency
- Collaborate with the Pharmacist to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and HIPAA-compliant work environment
- Stay current on cannabis laws, product knowledge, and industry trends
- Support and guide team members while fostering a positive work culture
- Perform other duties as assigned to support dispensary operations
What You'll Bring:
- Active Pharmacy Technician registration in good standing
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a pharmacy technician; cannabis experience is a plus
- At least 6 months of leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of medication, dosage measurement, pharmacy law, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and reliability
- High school diploma or GED required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Greenhouse or cannabis software experience is a plus

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to feel, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 25 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, and lift up to 50 pounds. This position requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
Work Environment:
