Lead Maintenance Technician  

Job Type: Full-Time; Non-Exempt 
Shift:  M-F | 7:00am - 3:30pm
Starting Pay Rate: $26.25/hr

POSITION SUMMARY:  

The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for a variety of duties related to Maintenance Operations. This position must utilize knowledge of mechanical, greenhouse and building maintenance to provide minimal down time of operations. The position requires working knowledge of maintenance repair procedures, farm operations and marijuana compliance. The Lead will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with ensuring the safety, security, and maintenance of the facilities and capital assets of the Company.  Duties include adherence to operating policies and procedures, assist the Maintenance Supervisor in planning, direction, and leading of projects and maintenance related to all buildings, equipment, and Curaleaf hard assets.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility buildings to detect and resolve problems 
  • Schedule repair activities and assign repair tasks to maintenance staff 
  • Provide maintenance team with all tools and supplies 
  • Coordinates timely inspections from outside vendors for, preventative maintenance or repair of electrical equipment and mechanical systems not serviced internally 
  • Implement maintenance Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and review annually 
  • Assist Supervisor with evaluation of repair cost estimates and present options to management 
  • Produce weekly progress reports including employee tracking to Maintenance Supervisor 
  • Maintain stocking equipment, filters, general use stock items and order before needed 
  • Assist other departments as necessary throughout the facility 
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and federal and state laws 
  • Ensures company premises and facilities are kept clean, including maintenance of parking area, buildings (including restrooms), fences, general maintenance, and storage areas 
  • Provide guidance to effected staff regarding ongoing maintenance activities within specific departments 
  • Ensure bottled drinking water is provided in all areas 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required 
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.  
  • One-year work experience in a related industry or work environment 
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment 
  • Demonstrate ability to consistently meet productivity and performance requirements 
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail 
  • Demonstrate professional and respectful demeanor towards others 
  • Demonstrate verbal and written communication capability 
  • Proven success in the following job competencies: Building and mechanical maintenance 
  • Proficient leadership, encouraging teamwork, detail orientation and timeliness of repairs 

 Physical Requirements: 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted 
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time  
  • Ability to occasionally climb ladder, crawl under low spaces  
  • Ability to use computer/look at a screen for long periods of time  
  • Ability to have close vision (able to read small print at 20 inches or less)

$26.25 - $29.50 USD
