Event Coordinator

Hi there! I'm Sterling,VP of Demand Gen here at Customer.io. We’re looking for an Event Coordinator to join our team to lead webinars and support our in-person events around the US and Europe. You will be joining a dynamic group, working closely with our Events Manager and Partner Marketing Manager to lead the planning and execution of both digital and in-person events. This is a fantastic opportunity to be a key player in driving engagement and company growth through impactful events. Your work will directly contribute to building and nurturing relationships with customers, prospects, and industry leaders. This role will support our Events manager and collaborate with our Partner Marketing Manager, playing a critical role on our team to drive company growth and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive, plan, and execute our digital event programming, maintaining an exciting webinar calendar that includes hosting industry thought leaders and experts.
  • Own end-to-end execution of webinars and digital events, from sourcing speakers and setting up registration to handling live production and post-event follow-up. Collaborate with BDR and Sales teams to drive attendance and ensure smooth event delivery.
  • Support the logistical coordination of trade shows, conferences, and field events, including vendor management, onsite logistics, and travel arrangements as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the BDR and Sales teams to build effective promotion strategies and secure high-impact sign-ups.
  • Support our Partner Marketing Manager to source partners for co-hosted webinars and events, helping to extend reach and deepen audience engagement.
  • Analyze feedback from webinars and events to constantly improve and iterate our initiatives.
  • Track event KPIs and report outcomes, collaborating with Ops and Demand Gen to continually optimize and measure success against key business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Content, Comms, and Customer Success on identifying and managing speaking opportunities for webinars and conferences.
  • Contribute to account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives by supporting targeted marketing efforts for named accounts, in partnership with Sales and Demand Gen.

We’re looking for people who have:

  • 2+ years of experience in event marketing, digital events, operations, or community roles, ideally in a B2B SaaS or startup environment.
  • Should have strong attention to detail, strong organizational skills, comfort with basic copywriting, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced and remote environment.
  • Humility, candor, kindness, good judgment, and a desire to get your hands dirty are a must!
  • Existing comfort with the following tools is a plus: Slack, Notion, Salesforce, webinar software (like Livestorm) + email marketing tools (like Customer.io)!
  • Travel is an integral part of this role, and will be based on seasonal event needs. Up to 25%.

What You’ll Achieve:

By 3 Months:

  • Understand Customer.io’s webinar and event goals, audience, and metrics.
  • Begin running webinars and partner with Partner Marketing and Sales to boost registrations.

By 6 Months:

  • Optimize webinar and digital event processes, increasing attendance and engagement.
  • Build a 12-month plan to expand our digital events.
  • Support our in-person events on the ground around the US + EMEA

By 12 Months:

  • Create an efficient digital events program with strong performance
  • Implement tracking and reporting to continuously improve digital and in-person event impact.

We are offering a starting salary of $65,000 USD (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.
