Events Marketing Manager, EMEA

EMEA Remote

About the role

Hi, my name is Rosie, Events Team Manager here at Customer.io, and I am looking for an Events Marketing Manager to own our in-person events across EMEA. You'll lead live field events, hosted customer and prospect experiences, and sponsored conferences across the region, and run our monthly EMEA webinar. You'll partner closely with Demand Gen, Content, Design, Partnerships, and EMEA Sales to create events that feel polished, thoughtful, and unmistakably "us" - tailored to EMEA markets rather than a copy-paste of NA programming. You'll ramp alongside our Events Manager, who currently supports the region, and take full ownership of EMEA within your first 90 days.

This role includes 15%+ travel for EMEA field events, conferences, and onsite support.

What we value

  • Human-centered experiences. You create events that feel thoughtful, relevant, and genuinely useful - built for EMEA audiences.
  • Collaborative energy. You work smoothly across teams and time zones, and make alignment feel easy.
  • Insight-driven decisions. You let data guide you while keeping the attendee experience at the center.
  • Action with intention. You move quickly, adapt gracefully, and learn from every event.
  • Operational clarity. You bring structure, calm, and consistency to fast-moving, cross-market work.

What you’ll do

Event planning & coordination

  • Own and manage the EMEA in-person events calendar - field events, hosted experiences, sponsored conferences, and activations across the region
  • Partner with the Events Team and Demand Gen to define goals, audiences, formats, and success metrics specific to EMEA markets
  • Evaluate EMEA sponsorships, speaking slots, and event formats against goals
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure every event feels cohesive with global campaigns while staying relevant to EMEA audiences

Execution & project management

  • Manage day-to-day logistics: vendor coordination, timelines, run-of-show, speaker prep, and on-the-ground support for EMEA events
  • Partner with Content, Brand, Product Marketing, and Sales to develop compelling event assets and presentations
  • Oversee registration flows, pre-event communication, and the attendee experience from first touch to follow-up
  • Step in wherever needed to keep events running smoothly, calmly, and on-brand

EMEA webinars (about one per month)

  • Run our monthly EMEA webinar end to end - topic and speaker selection, registration, promotion, and follow-up - timed and localized for a European audience
  • Partner with Content and Product Marketing to adapt or build webinar content that lands with EMEA audiences
  • Build and optimize registration pages, forms, and workflows for EMEA campaigns

Audience growth & promotion

  • Execute multi-channel promotional plans across email, social, and partner channels for EMEA audiences
  • Collaborate with Demand Gen, Marketing Ops & Sales to ensure EMEA lead capture, routing, and follow-up happen correctly and quickly
  • Manage attendee communication throughout the event lifecycle

Performance & optimization

  • Track EMEA event performance - pipeline, revenue, deal acceleration, and event engagement
  • Share insights and recommendations to continually improve ROI and attendee experience across the region
  • Maintain documentation, templates, and repeatable workflows that make running EMEA events smoother and more scalable
  • Partner with ops to ensure clean attribution and accurate reporting across systems

What success looks like

  • Regional ownership: EMEA events and webinars run smoothly, predictably, and feel built for the region
  • Engagement growth: Attendance and engagement steadily increase across EMEA field events and webinars
  • Sales alignment: EMEA Sales and Marketing feel tightly connected and supported by event-driven pipeline
  • Sharper insights: You surface insights that help the program get sharper, smarter, and more efficient over time
  • Better playbooks: EMEA-specific playbooks, templates, and processes get better and help the team move faster

What we're looking for

You're a hands-on, highly organized marketer who loves building great experiences and understands how events translate into revenue. You're comfortable owning a region end to end - you stay grounded under pressure, thrive in a distributed environment, and enjoy the cross-market collaboration required to make EMEA events exceptional.

  • Based in the UK or Ireland (London or Dublin ideal)
  • 4+ years in event marketing within B2B SaaS
  • Experience running in-person events across formats (field events, hosted experiences, conferences), ideally across multiple EMEA markets
  • Experience running webinars, and real excitement about doing both: a busy in-person calendar plus about one webinar a month
  • Strong project management skills - you juggle timelines, tasks, and teams (and time zones) with ease
  • Experience collaborating with Sales and supporting event-driven follow-up
  • Comfortable with marketing automation tools (Customer.io, Marketo, etc.) and Salesforce
  • Familiarity with webinar platforms (Livestorm, Zoom, Sequel) and event management tools
  • Understanding of lead capture, UTMs, and event pipeline attribution
  • Ability to partner with Rev/Marketing Ops to troubleshoot data flows and ensure clean reporting
  • Comfortable with 15%+ travel
