In addition to our recent growth in Federal Civilian agencies, we are seeking to expand our capabilities in cloud development and footprint in national-security focused agencies within the Department of Defense and U.S. Intelligence Community.

Job Summary: Support the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Project Controls System. Perform cost estimating, analysis, and control activities. Supervise and provide technical direction for cost engineering and/or planning/scheduling activities as delegated. Identify trends for management attention. Develop resolutions to complex problems using creativity and in-depth analysis.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support implementing and maintaining the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and Project Controls System.
• Perform cost estimating, analysis, and control activities.
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules.
• Supervise and provide technical direction for cost engineering and/or planning/scheduling activities as delegated.
• Ensure work is completed as scheduled and identify trends for management attention.
• Conduct quantity takeoffs and statistical analysis.
• Monitor project schedules and prepare detailed reports.
• Write comprehensive reports and perform computer operations related to project controls.
• Understand and interpret technical processes, engineering drawings, quantity determinations, and mathematical and financial reports.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Support project organizational and administrative activities as delegated.
• Resolve complex issues using professional concepts and Laboratory objectives.
• Contribute to the development of new theories and methods.
• Coordinate activities of other personnel as needed.
• Determine objectives, methods, and procedures for new assignments with significant latitude.
Skills & Work Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis.
• Experience in cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, and cost analysis, in both field and home office settings.
• Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and technical and non-technical personnel training.
• Proficiency in using personal computer operating systems and multiple discipline-specific software applications.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of project controls and/or project management.
• Experience with project budgets, including cost estimating, control, and analysis.
• Proficiency in project scheduling and implementation of corrective actions.
• Ability to develop and deliver detailed and accurate status reports.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering functions and principles required to implement and monitor technical projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tools and processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Postgraduate coursework is desirable.
• Certification in project management or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Clearance: Active DOE-Q clearance required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
