As a Senior Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role supporting alliance management by overseeing aficamten CMC activities and ensuring product supply to Cytokinetics market partners in Japan and China.  Reporting to the Portfolio Management Team within the Global Supply Chain and Technical Operations organization, you will work closely with the Operations Alliance Director and collaborate with cross-functional teams in Technical Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and Project Management.

On a day-to-day basis, this will involve a hands-on approach to identify and mitigate supply and technical risks, ensure clear communication, escalation (when appropriate), and drive the seamless execution of commitments to our alliance partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management & Execution:

  • Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Create and implement integrated program plans that drive the achievement of key milestones; ensuring visibility into the actions and activities required to meet alliance goals and objectives.
  • Support cross-functional forums, steering committees, and partner decision-making bodies, ensuring alignment of strategic priorities and initiatives within Global Supply Chain &
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Product Lead for aficamten, and the Operations Alliance Director to identify, develop, and implement proactive mitigation strategies for global supply chain risks.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Alliance Director to coordinate delivery of the goals defined in the relationship, including – flawless delivery of supply, technical, and regulatory objectives
  • Continuously evaluate supply chain vulnerabilities, supporting the development of business cases to mitigate risks and ensure continuity of supply across clinical and commercial stages.

Alliance Management & Business Process Development:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the alliance management framework in partnership with Corporate Development, helping to establish scalable and flexible processes that support the growth of strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure alliance management processes are aligned with Cytokinetics’ long-term goals, facilitating smooth integration of new collaborations and enhancing operational efficiency within existing partnerships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support:

  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment among internal stakeholders in Technical Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and Project Management to achieve alliance objectives.
  • Act as a key point of contact for alliance management, assisting in navigating challenges and fostering a collaborative environment to ensure successful execution of alliance goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred, with additional certifications in supply chain.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain or operations, with at least 3 years in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
  • Sound technical knowledge in one or more of the following categories: Chemical Development, Clinical, Manufacturing, Analytics, Packaging, Serialization, Planning, or Logistics (small molecule drug development is a plus)
  • Outstanding project management, planning, organization, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Strong ability to effectively and efficiently manage and complete multiple, large-scale and complex priorities and projects on-time and on-target
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations, and effectively manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Ability to think creatively to provide non-standard solutions
  • Strong partnering skills – ability to thoughtfully cultivate strong and highly effective working relationships with internal and/or external customers and stakeholders
  • Strong influencing, organizational and interpersonal skills – consistently achieves targeted results without authority by leveraging expertise, business knowledge, and partnerships
