The Opportunity

Son Group at Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Chicago (https://www.czbiohub.org/microtissue-signaling-dynamics/) is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to develop a new generation microfluidic platform for precise, high-throughput, and automated liquid handling for spatio-temporal tissue response measurements.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop a multi-layer microfluidic devices to cultivate tissue/organoid and precisely control the culture environment or biofluid handling.
• Develop and implement automation software to operate the microfluidic devices.
• Conduct biological experiments to gather data and analyze them.

You have 

Essential -

• PhD degree in Physics, Bioengineering, Mechanical engineering, or a relevant STEM field.
• 1 year in CAD software and general design/programming skills (Matlab, Pyton, and/or R).
• Clean room skills (Soft lithography).

Nice to have - 

• 3 year or more experience in microfluidic device design and automation coding.
• Familiarities with various mathematical analyses methods (Dimension reduction, information theory, simulation, etc).

Compensation

The Chicago, IL pay range for this role is $75,000.00.
