
Senior Software Development Engineer
The Role
- Develop software functions of the Vehicle Control Unit and Body Control Unit.
- Take ownership of developing software functions from concept through to production release.
- Develop software functions for a range of controller functions, such as body control, HVAC, thermal management, power management of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems, diagnostics, network management.
- Capture and analyze requirements.
- Maintain software version control.
- Plan and carry out Software test activities at software-in-loop (SIL), hardware-in-loop (HIL) and vehicle, including development of appropriate test assets.
- Support build of prototype vehicles through the commissioning and debug of software.
- Coordinate with other controls system suppliers and partners.
- Provide input into the definition of controls architecture of future Czinger vehicles.
- Work in Hybrid Electric Vehicles software development and Thermal controls development.
- Engage in Root-cause analysis, Failure mode effect analysis, and model-based software development.
- Position requires international travel to Europe approximately 10% of the time. Position requires a driver’s license.
Basic Qualifications
- Master of Science in Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related.
- At least TWO (2) years of experience in the job offered or at least TWO (2) years of experience in the following:
- Electric vehicle software development and thermal controls development
- Development of full lifecycle of vehicle control features
- Developing Model-based controls software, code generation, model-in-loop testing and unit testing
- Root-cause analysis in vehicles using CAN/LIN based testing tools: CANape, PLIN, PCAN, and CANalyzer
- Vehicle software development stack: AUTOSAR EB tressos, Matlab/Simulink, and ECU-test
Pay Range
$168,000 - $185,130 USD
