What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the Way in Infrastructure Automation: Take charge in designing, building, and maintaining high-performance infrastructure, making key contributions to server lifecycle automation—from onboarding to patching and sunsetting.
  • Support Kubernetes Infrastructure: Help development teams onboard applications to Kubernetes, ensuring the environment runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Work with Powerful Automation Tools: Administer and fine-tune automation tools like Ansible and Salt to enhance the efficiency of our infrastructure.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Interact with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication from planning through to project maintenance, all while keeping customer needs front and center.
  • Troubleshoot and Innovate: Use your problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues and perform root cause analysis, while recommending system improvements to ensure top performance.
  • Contribute to CI/CD Efforts: Ensure that the CI/CD infrastructure is stable, up-to-date, and optimized to support development teams effectively.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Write clear, concise documentation and train team members on automation tools to ensure a shared understanding and smooth workflow.
  • Adapt to Fast-Paced Changes: Manage multiple projects at once, juggling competing priorities while delivering results on time. Your attention to detail will be critical to ensuring everything works seamlessly.
  • Participate in On-Call Rotation: Be ready to jump in and support the team when needed, including nights and weekends.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

  • Experience: 5+ years in Systems Engineering or a similar role, with a strong focus on automation and infrastructure.
  • Certifications: IAT II certification and CSSP Infrastructure Support cert. (must be obtained within 120 days of hire).
  • Advanced Linux Skills: You bring deep knowledge and experience working with Linux-based systems.
  • Technical Expertise: 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (specifically Ansible or Salt), and automation tools.
  • Scripting Languages: Proficient in YAML, Python, Bash, and/or Ruby to automate processes and write effective scripts.
  • Version Control: Experience using tools like Git to manage and version code.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work in an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $125-$145k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
