As a Systems Administrator, you will play a critical role in providing support for both on-site and remote users, handling upgrades, and ensuring smooth operations for Unix/Windows workstations, servers, and other essential IT systems. Your expertise will help us maintain and improve a dynamic IT environment to support key business functions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- System Administration: Manage and maintain desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks, focusing on security, OS installation, and more.
- IT Support & Troubleshooting: Provide ongoing support for IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and issue resolution for a variety of devices—server, storage, mobile devices, and more.
- Tier 2 & 3 Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Software & OS Maintenance: Install, configure, and upgrade Unix/Windows operating systems and software, including patching and troubleshooting issues with COTS/GOTS products.
- Database Management: Maintain and manage linked databases, ensuring data integrity, security, disaster recovery, and efficient data imports/exports.
- Preventative Maintenance: Oversee regular system maintenance, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure minimal downtime for customers.
- Security Assurance: Ensure systems are secure and compliant with STIG guidelines and use tools like Retina and HBSS to protect data.
- Collaboration & Documentation: Work with cross-functional teams to develop backup and recovery plans, and maintain operational procedures and SOPs.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Certifications: Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility to obtain a CI Poly.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Unix, Windows, and/or storage administration, as well as troubleshooting and problem tracking systems like Security+.
- Travel & Flexibility: Willingness to travel 30% of the time to local and other sites, including potential OCONUS travel.
- On-Call Support: Ability to respond to after-hours support calls when needed.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to lift/carry equipment up to 40 pounds as required.
Bonus Skills:
- Imagery Intelligence Knowledge: Experience in the imagery intelligence domain is a plus.
- Scripting Proficiency: Ability to create and modify scripts on Windows, Linux, and Solaris systems.
- Database & Network Administration: General knowledge of database administration and network management, including network configuration skills.
- Technology Expertise: Skills with tools such as Red Hat, Sybase, SQL, IRIX, and other related technologies.

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $120-130k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
