What You’ll Do:

  • Lead Cloud Infrastructure Management: You’ll be responsible for provisioning and managing Azure infrastructure, including VMs, storage accounts, VNETs, Network Security Groups, and custom roles/permissions, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Enhance Security & Connectivity: Manage and monitor Azure Active Directory, VPN Gateways, Azure Firewalls, VNET Peering, and User Defined Routing, playing a vital role in maintaining secure cloud environments.
  • Integrate Complex Systems: Develop and integrate complex systems that bridge on-premise and cloud environments, working with technologies like Azure Express Routes and understanding L2/L3 networking fundamentals.
  • Maintain & Optimize Systems: Take ownership of system health by performing continuous maintenance and providing innovative solutions to security, backup, and redundancy challenges.
  • Drive Technical Excellence: Stay ahead of rapidly changing technologies by contributing to the design, development, and integration of systems from the ground up. You’ll also prepare and maintain essential documentation related to these engineering projects.
  • Guide & Lead: Share your expertise with less-experienced team members, offering guidance and mentorship while serving as a leader within your team or task force.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Solid Experience in Azure: You bring 5+ years of experience specifically managing Azure infrastructure, including Azure VMs, Azure VPN Gateways, Azure Firewalls, and more.
  • Deep Knowledge of Core Services: You have hands-on experience with DNS services, DHCP, Azure Key Management, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Security Mindset: Your background includes DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+CE preferred), ensuring you’re well-versed in securing cloud environments.
  • Technical Proficiency: You’ve successfully provisioned and managed complex systems such as Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure IoT and are comfortable working with cloud-based infrastructure and security monitoring.
  • Networking Expertise: You understand L2/L3 networking fundamentals and are skilled in on-premise to cloud connectivity, ensuring seamless integration between environments.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with specific expertise in Azure infrastructure management.
  • Strong familiarity with Azure Active Directory, Azure VPN Gateways, VNET Peering, and other Azure security solutions.
  • A passion for problem-solving and innovative thinking in complex systems and environments.

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $135-155k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
