Communications Specialist

Are you a dynamic and strategic communicator with a passion for supporting important government programs? We’re looking for an experienced Communications Specialist to join our team, where you’ll have the opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting a Federal Intelligence Agency contract. This is your chance to work on high-impact projects that contribute to national security and shape the future of communications in the intelligence community.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Craft Impactful Communications: Develop and deliver internal and external communication materials that inform, engage, and inspire both internal stakeholders and government customers. You’ll play a key role in shaping how the program communicates its goals and successes.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with business area leaders and program managers to create clear, concise, and compelling communication products, including briefings, talking points, scripts, and other deliverables that are crucial for program success.
- Support Proposal Development: Leverage your writing and editing skills to help with customer deliverables and proposals, ensuring that all communication meets the highest standards for quality, style, and format.
- Manage Program Communications: Assist in the execution of program communication plans, manage project budgets and schedules, and ensure that all deliverables align with program objectives. You'll monitor performance to ensure everything stays on track!
- Drive Special Projects: Take on special projects that support the overall program, where you can get creative, problem-solve, and contribute to the success of mission-critical activities.
- Guide and Mentor: As a seasoned professional, you may coach and guide junior team members, helping them grow and develop their own communication skills.

- People Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills are a must. You’ll be interacting with stakeholders at all levels, including leadership, technical teams, and external partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: You are highly skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, to create engaging presentations and documents.
- Security Clearance: You hold a TS/SCI clearance, enabling you to work on sensitive, mission-critical projects.
Bonus Skills (Not Required, But a Plus):
- Experience with NRO or DoD: Knowledge or experience within the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) or with the Department of Defense (DoD) is a significant plus.
- IT Field Knowledge: If you have a background in or knowledge of the IT field, it would be an added advantage as it aligns with the technical aspects of the program.
Qualifications:
- Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in communications, with a proven track record of success in similar roles.
- Clearance: TS/SCI clearance and polygraph required.

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $155-175k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
