Cloud Operations Specialist
**ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED**
We’re looking for a Cloud Operations Specialist with TS/SCI clearance to join our dynamic team, supporting an Intelligence customer in St. Louis, MO. As a Cloud Operations Specialist, you'll play a key role in onboarding cloud developers into the Common Operations Release Environment (CORE). This environment is designed to provide the necessary services and tools for developers to efficiently create software for our customer’s cloud infrastructure. You'll be working with a team of highly skilled professionals, solving problems, and supporting a range of critical cloud services.
What You'll Do:

Support Developer Success: Address inquiries and resolve issues related to NGA-provisioned development tools.

Onboard Developers: Guide developers as they integrate into the CORE software factory.

Provision AWS WorkSpaces: Provide cloud-based resources to developers, ensuring they have everything they need.

Develop & Update Bundles: Customize and maintain AWS WorkSpace bundles for optimal performance.

Manage Access & Permissions: Handle IAM user creation, policies, and Active Directory management to ensure secure and efficient operations.

Ensure Tool Availability: Oversee DevSecOps tools like GitLab, Nexus, Kong, and OpenShift to make sure the team has continuous access to the necessary development tools.

Monitor Cloud Health: Track CloudWatch metrics to ensure the health and optimal utilization of AWS resources.

Document Best Practices: Maintain clear documentation and procedures for onboarding both internal and external customer teams.
What You Bring to the Table:
Education & Experience:
-
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.

7+ years of IT developer experience with a strong track record in cloud operations.
Required Skills:
-
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Experience with DevSecOps development processes, particularly using GitLab Continuous Integration.

In-depth knowledge of RHEL/CentOS Linux distributions.

Experience with Python for automation and development.

A solid understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex issues.

Strong communication skills—you can effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Acute attention to detail and precision in your work.

A team player who thrives in collaborative environments and works well with both customers and colleagues.

Ability to work independently when needed while maintaining a team-oriented mindset.
Desired Skills:

Knowledge of Containerization and Kubernetes.

Familiarity with cloud APIs and how they interact within cloud environments.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform.
Certifications:

Must be DoD 8140/8570 IAT III compliant to meet security and compliance requirements.
