Junior CMDB Administrator (multiple openings)

**ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED**

The Junior CMDB Administrator is responsible for assisting in the development, management, and maintenance of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the organizations ITIL framework.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in configuring and running ServiceNow Discovery to identify assets and services across multiple networks
• Support the deployment of Cloud Discovery for AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments
• Help with Service Mapping preparation, ensuring accurate application service representation in the CMDB
• Work with senior engineers to configure and optimize IRE rules to maintain data integrity
• Monitor and troubleshoot discovery issues under guidance from senior team members
• Assist in documenting processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides
• Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and refine discovery schedules
• Support CMDB data analysis and validation efforts
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

• Bachelor’s Degree and 1+ years of relevant experience or
• Associate’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience or
• High School Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB and/or ITOM modules
• Basic knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery and Cloud Discovery concepts
• Active TS/SCI clearance

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to successfully obtain CI Poly
• Knowledge of network protocols, IP addressing, and infrastructure components.
• Ability to analyze and interpret large datasets within the CMDB.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Preferred - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or working towards a CMDB/Discovery certification.
• Preferred - Experience with ITSM and ITOM modules in ServiceNow.
• Preferred - Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Ability to think critically and solve complex issues
• Ability to work with other teams and stakeholders to ensure mission success
