What You'll Do:

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in providing Tier II support to manage and maintain a large-scale Enterprise environment. You'll work with multiple Microsoft-based networks across a hybrid Windows & RHEL environment, supporting diverse security enclaves. You'll be key to ensuring systems run smoothly, troubleshooting issues, and improving user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Administration Advisory: Manage and support Windows and Linux workstations across EVDI and physical environments.

  • Troubleshooting & Performance Enhancement: Diagnose application issues (crashes, functionality, and performance) and collaborate with external teams to optimize user experiences.

  • Incident Resolution: Provide Tier II support for Linux and Windows applications, assisting customers with incident resolution.

  • End-User Support: Offer remote desktop support to end-users to ensure smooth operations.

  • System Incident Management: Analyze, resolve, and implement short-term workarounds and long-term solutions for system incidents. Respond to escalated service desk/team requests.

  • Effective Communication: Collaborate with both technical teams and end-users, offering clear communication in both written and oral forms.

  • Incident Triage & Response: Provide first-line support, triage, and notifications for system incidents.

  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed to support ongoing improvements.

What We're Looking For:

  • Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience). 8+ years of related systems administration experience is required.

  • Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph is required to support our Federal Intelligence Agency contract.

  • Certifications: A current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security) is required. CompTIA Security+ CE is preferred. You'll need to obtain the necessary DoD 8570 Computing Environment (CE) Training within six (6) months of hire.

  • Technical Skills: Solid experience with Active Directory Administration, DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP, and troubleshooting applications like Outlook, Excel, Word, Java, and Internet Explorer.

  • Experience with: Windows 10, Server 2012, and Server 2016, Linux OS, ServiceNow, NETS, and ITIL v3 or higher.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, PowerShell, and Virtualization Environments (VMware, Citrix).

  • Familiarity with VMware User Experience Management (UEM) tools, Microsoft Exchange, telephone/video support, and networking.

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $135-155k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
