Windows Engineer

How You’ll Make a Difference:
As a Windows Engineer, you’ll be the go-to expert for ensuring our Windows Server environments are optimized, secure, and future-proof. Your hands-on experience will help drive server upgrades, manage patching processes, and support a cutting-edge virtual infrastructure. You'll be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Your Responsibilities:

Lead advanced troubleshooting of complex Windows Server OS issues, maintaining top-tier performance and reliability.

Upgrade legacy systems to Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022—aligning with security compliance and industry standards.

Leverage your vSphere Operations expertise to manage virtual environments efficiently; experience with OVF Templates is essential.

Streamline deployments using GitLab and OS pipelines for template creation.

Apply your knowledge of SCCM/ConfigMgr to create and deploy applications, packages, and Software Update Groups (SUGs).

Own the monthly patching process for Windows Server versions 2012 through 2022, keeping systems secure and up to date.

Troubleshoot and support enterprise security tools like HBSS, Nessus Agent (ACAS), and Carbon Black.

Perform IAVA remediation and implement STIG hardening on OS server builds.

Create clear and useful documentation (SOPs) to support operations and onboarding.

Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate repetitive tasks (a plus).

Manage incidents and change requests through BMC Remedy ITSM and/or Service+.
What You Bring to the Table:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
-
5+ years of experience in Windows Server administration.
-
Deep familiarity with Active Directory (ADUC), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Microsoft admin tools.

Hands-on experience with server upgrades (2016/2019/2022) and OS compliance.

Advanced knowledge of vSphere Operations, including use of OVF templates.

Moderate experience with SCCM/ConfigMgr, including SUG and package deployment.

Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working in a distributed team environment.

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $149k-159k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
