As a Systems Administrator on our Delta Team, you'll work the night shift to ensure uptime, stability, and security across a high-availability enterprise infrastructure that directly supports global operations.

If you're passionate about solving complex IT challenges, thrive under pressure, and want your work to make a difference, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do: How You’ll Make an Impact

As an Operations 24/7 Support Technician, you’ll serve as a front-line responder and tier 2+ technical lead in monitoring and maintaining systems critical to CONUS and OCONUS operations. You'll work across virtual, cloud, and physical environments—ensuring 99.99% system uptime and supporting SLA compliance for high-priority infrastructure and applications.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

System Monitoring & Incident Response

  • Proactively monitor compute, cloud, and network resources across the enterprise to ensure SLA compliance.

  • Triage system alerts and respond to issues impacting data center and user-facing systems.

  • Provide hands-on administration and troubleshooting of virtual environments (VMs, hosts, storage, and virtual infrastructure via vCenter).

Incident & Change Management

  • Own, track, and escalate incidents using ITSM tools like ServiceNow.

  • Manage and track change execution activities throughout the change lifecycle.

  • Create and maintain detailed SOPs and operational reports for system health updates to leadership, mission partners, and customers.

Technical Support & Administration

  • Provide Tier 2+ support for Windows, Linux, storage, and database systems (Oracle, SQL).

  • Provision and configure thin client software and virtualized hardware.

  • Monitor connectivity and compliance across cloud-based platforms.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Work with vendors to coordinate repairs and maintenance for mission-critical systems.

  • Identify opportunities for service delivery improvements and automation.

  • Contribute to ongoing refinement of operational processes and reporting.

Who You Are: The Ideal Teammate

You’re someone who takes ownership, stays calm under pressure, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment. You’re coachable, dependable, and always looking to support the team. You bring a solutions-first mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Investigates and resolves complex Tier 2+ technical issues effectively.

  • Excels in medium to high complexity environments with precision and attention to detail.

  • Communicates clearly and collaborates across teams.

  • Embraces innovation and seeks opportunities to optimize service delivery.

Qualifications: What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or a related field – or equivalent combination of education and 3+ years of hands-on experience in system administration.

  • Certifications:
Must meet DoD 8140 IAT Level II requirements (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
Working knowledge of ITIL V4 framework (certification or intent to certify required).

  • Technical Experience:

    • Strong experience with virtual environments (VMware, vCenter).

    • Admin experience with Windows and Linux OS (Linux is a plus).

    • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as BMC TrueSight, HP NNM, Splunk, Nagios, WhatsUp Gold, etc.

    • Hands-on ITSM experience (ServiceNow preferred).

    • Demonstrated awareness of cross-functional IT disciplines and environments.
