Join Our Team as a Turbonomic Engineer – Optimize the Future of IT Performance (Active TS/SCI Clearance Required)
Are you a performance-minded problem-solver with a passion for optimization and modern IT environments? We’re looking for a Turbonomic Specialist to lead efforts in engineering, implementing, and operating resource optimization solutions across both on-prem and cloud platforms.
In this role, you’ll go beyond monitoring—you’ll be driving efficiency, performance, and innovation for infrastructure and applications that matter. You’ll work hands-on with the Turbonomic platform, using it to diagnose issues, fine-tune resources, and guide cost-saving strategies. What You’ll Do:
- Use Turbonomic to monitor and optimize performance across virtualized infrastructure, including VMs, ESXi hosts, and cloud resources.
- Diagnose incidents and identify root causes with Turbonomic’s analytics and insights.
- Perform proactive maintenance to maximize system efficiency and resource allocation.
- Partner with developers, engineers, and operations teams to solve complex infrastructure challenges.
- Define and implement monitoring and optimization strategies aligned with business goals.
- Integrate Turbonomic with tools like Dynatrace and ServiceNow to streamline incident response and automation.
- Participate in the design and analysis of resource utilization, driving cost savings and operational excellence.
- Stay ahead of trends and updates in the Turbonomic platform—and bring that knowledge to life in your work.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or 4 years of additional experience
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, performance monitoring, or cloud engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Turbonomic, including policies, scheduling, resource analytics, and platform integration.
- Experience working in virtualized environments with tools like VMware, vSphere, and ESXi.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical performance monitoring and strategic IT resource planning.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals and protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and SMTP.
- Collaborative mindset with a strong customer focus and excellent communication skills.
- A continuous learning attitude and passion for emerging technologies in IT infrastructure and cloud computing.
Bonus Skills & Experience:
- Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments.
- Exposure to DevOps, automation tools, and container platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with database platforms like Oracle, SQL Server, RDS, and PaaS solutions.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux systems and scripting.
- Experience supporting regulated environments, particularly in healthcare or life sciences, is a plus.
- Integration experience with ITSM tools and performance solutions like Dynatrace.
Preferred Certifications:
- VMware certifications (VCP, VCPA)
- AWS Solutions Architect / Associate / Cloud Practitioner
- Microsoft Azure Certifications (AZ-103, AZ-300, AZ-301)
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Associate (MCSA)
