As a Senior Systems Administrator (Tier 3), you'll be the go-to expert managing complex IT infrastructure that spans the globe. This isn’t your average desk job — you’ll solve high-stakes problems, contribute to a fast-moving mission, and collaborate with some of the best minds in the industry.
What You’ll Be Doing

Own the day-to-day administration of multiple RHEL servers, enterprise storage systems, and networked environments

Serve as a Tier 3 escalation point — diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues

Support and maintain mission-critical systems remotely across global sites

Create and maintain detailed technical documentation

Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and uptime of server/storage infrastructure
-
Collaborate with engineers across contracts to produce secure, scalable system designs
-
Engage with stakeholders and SMEs to document and improve operational environments
-
Participate in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 operations
-
Travel as needed for system installation, repair, and disaster recovery
What You’ll Bring
Basic Qualifications:
-
10+ years of experience as a Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator in enterprise-scale, multi-site environments
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
-
Strong documentation and communication skills
-
8570 Compliant (Security+ or equivalent)
-
Active TS/SCI Clearance
-
Willingness to support occasional after-hours operations
Preferred Qualifications:

Confident presenting to technical and non-technical leadership
-
Familiarity with customer-specific processes and production environments
-
Team-first attitude with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

Experience supporting or using geospatial tools and applications
Bonus Points If You Have:

Deep expertise in Linux/Unix systems administration

Experience with:

Enterprise storage (NAS/SAN)

Oracle/SQL Databases

STIG hardening and DISA compliance

Certification & Accreditation (C&A) processes

Licensing and software asset management

VMWare and other virtualization platforms

Scripting (Perl, KSH, or similar)

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $145-155k.
