Growth Lead (DOMA)

Los Angeles, CA

About D3

D3 is building the world’s first purpose-built blockchain for DomainFi—bringing domain tokenization and DeFi primitives to a massive, rapidly growing $350B+ real-world asset class. We’re revolutionizing how existing and future domain names are owned, traded, and leveraged in the digital economy.

Our elite team is stacked with industry veterans who have spent the last three decades shaping the internet, from pioneering domain name monetization to architecting key internet protocols to launching and running major TLDs like .xyz, .inc, .tv, and .link. With a proven track record of innovation and success, we’re now redefining what’s possible in the domain space.

We recently closed a $25M Series A led by Paradigm - one of the best investors in the industry. This will help fuel our mission to bring domains fully on-chain and unlock new financial possibilities for one of the internet’s most valuable asset classes.

We’re based in Los Angeles, with team members all over the world. We’re looking for driven, talented builders to help build a trillion-dollar DomainFi economy. Join us!

Job Overview

D3 is seeking an exceptional Growth Lead to drive sustainable onchain adoption for Doma Protocol, the world's first DNS-compliant blockchain. We're tokenizing the $360B domain industry and building DomainFi infrastructure that bridges Web2's internet backbone with Web3 ecosystems. This role requires a growth architect who has demonstrably scaled onchain activity for tier-1 DeFi or infrastructure protocols—someone who understands that real growth comes from product-market fit, genuine utility, and sticky user behavior, not mercenary capital chasing points.

You'll be responsible for driving measurable onchain metrics: daily active addresses, transaction volume, TVL growth, and retention cohorts that actually matter. We're building critical infrastructure, not launching the next culture play. If you've successfully grown protocols that solved real problems and retained users post-incentive programs, we want to talk.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth Architecture

  • Design and execute comprehensive growth strategies that drive sustained onchain activity across Doma Protocol and its ecosystem products
  • Develop sophisticated user acquisition and retention frameworks that go beyond mercenary liquidity—focusing on power users, domain traders, DeFi natives, and developers building on Doma
  • Own all growth metrics: DAUs, transaction volume, domain tokenization rate, protocol revenue, and cohort retention curves
  • Build growth models that identify leading indicators and optimize for long-term protocol health over vanity metrics

Onchain Growth Execution

  • Launch and iterate on growth experiments rooted in onchain behavior: liquidity mining that rewards genuine activity, trading competitions that drive volume, builder incentives that create ecosystem value
  • Design tokenomics and incentive structures that align stakeholder behavior with protocol growth—avoiding the airdrop farming playbook that destroys communities
  • Partner with BD and product teams to identify growth opportunities in partnerships (ENS integration, registrar deals representing 30M+ domains), cross-chain expansion (Solana, Base, Avalanche, Ethereum), and new market verticals
  • Leverage data analytics to understand user segments, optimize conversion funnels, and identify where onchain friction exists

Community & Market Development

  • Build and scale engaged communities of domain traders, DeFi users, and Web3 developers who see Doma as infrastructure, not a flip
  • Develop strategic relationships with DAOs, protocols, and onchain institutions that can drive meaningful domain adoption and protocol usage
  • Lead market expansion into key regions (particularly Asia where domain trading culture is strong), working with local KOLs and communities in authentic ways
  • Coordinate major conference presence, ecosystem announcements, and strategic moments that drive sustained attention and adoption

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build and lead a high-performance growth team as we scale—recruiting specialists in onchain analytics, growth marketing, community, and partnerships
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and BD to ensure growth insights directly inform product roadmap and feature prioritization
  • Establish growth operations: reporting cadences, experimentation frameworks, budget allocation models, and performance dashboards that keep the team accountable to metrics that matter

Qualifications

  • Proven Track Record: 4+ years driving growth for tier-1 DeFi protocols, L1/L2 infrastructure, or serious onchain applications. You can point to specific growth initiatives you led that resulted in measurable, sustained onchain activity increases
  • Onchain Expertise: Deep understanding of DeFi mechanics, liquidity dynamics, tokenomics design, and what actually drives sticky user behavior versus what attracts farmers. You know the difference between TVL and real usage
  • Data-Driven Operator: Exceptional analytical skills with experience using Dune Analytics, Nansen, or similar onchain analytics platforms. You make decisions based on wallet behavior, cohort analysis, and funnel metrics—not intuition
  • Growth Toolkit Mastery: Track record launching successful growth campaigns that go beyond airdrops: liquidity mining programs, referral mechanisms, points systems that convert to retention, strategic partnerships that unlock new user bases
  • Builder Mentality: You understand protocol mechanics deeply enough to partner with technical teams. You can read smart contracts, understand how protocols work under the hood, and translate technical capabilities into growth opportunities
  • Strategic Communicator: Ability to articulate complex growth strategies to leadership, inspire communities with authentic messaging, and represent the protocol publicly at major industry events
  • Scrappy Execution: Comfort operating in fast-moving, resource-constrained environments where you need to prioritize ruthlessly and move quickly from insight to execution

Nice to Haves

  • Experience growing protocols in emerging categories or creating new onchain primitives (you've built a playbook for something that didn't exist before)
  • Background in domain trading, DNS infrastructure, or real-world asset tokenization
  • Strong connections and language proficiency in Asian markets, particularly China and Korea, where domain trading culture and Web3 adoption intersect
  • Experience with cross-chain growth strategies—understanding how to drive adoption across multiple L1s/L2s simultaneously
  • Technical background or previous engineering/product experience that helps you work seamlessly with technical teams
  • Active presence in crypto communities with credibility built on substance, not engagement farming
  • Track record working with early-stage, well-funded protocols backed by tier-1 VCs (Series A+ experience)
  • Direct experience launching trading products, marketplaces, or AMMs where liquidity bootstrapping was critical

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
