Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a Cloud Engineer to support the National Background Investigation Services (NBIS). The Cloud Engineer will assist to architect, build, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and solutions for our clients. This individual will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments, implementing infrastructure-as-code solutions, and automating cloud operations. This position offers a unique opportunity for a passionate engineering professional to expand their expertise in leading cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and cutting-edge cloud technologies within a dynamic team delivering innovative solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Provide critical expertise in all deliverables including to system requirements, Solution Engineering, and System Design Documentation.
Study complex IT organizations to generate and track requirements across the lifecycle of an organization through road maps, project plans, and collaboration technologies.
Lead solution engineering, analysis of alternatives, and system design, including database design.
Discover and report discrepancies between the enterprise architecture, IT strategy, and the system designs, and provide recommendations for remediation.
Communicate across customer management infrastructure and other stakeholders to educate end users and decision makers on the importance of software development lifecycle documentation and rationale.
Implements Cloud LZ including:
- Automated deployments with Terraform
- ZT access to environment via CNAP
- Firewalls
- Identity Aware Proxy
- IAM and Single Sign On
- Enterprise Logging / Monitoring (SEAKR)
- Tenant enclave provisioning and config
- Blueprints for tenant workloads

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related technical field.
12 years minimum of relevant experience.
US Citizenship required with an active Secret clearance or interim Secret clearance.

The estimated salary range is $170,000.00 - $215,000.00, commensurate on experience, technical expertise, certifications, and clearance level.

Primary work location is the Washington DC Metro area.
