Test Engineer

Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a Test Engineer to be an integral part of a collaborative team supporting USSOCOM Special Operations Forces Mission Program by functional and automated application testing support for an enterprise advanced discovery capability aimed at unstructured data. The application has been, and will continue to be, delivered in a series of incremental releases that deliver increased functionality and allow analysts to interact with a growing number of analytic capabilities and data. testI g Engineers will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to complete successful cloud-to-cloud migrations and are currently consulting on hardware-to-cloud migrations. The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for developing and maintaining test plans and test cases, including functional testing, integration and regression testing. In addition, they will be expected to work cohesively with other IT testers, collaborate with testers from other teams, participate and contribute to peer reviews and actively contribute to process improvement. As part of our AI/ML Data Factory team, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our AI/ML pipelines, models, and infrastructure that power this critical application. The candidate will be located in Tampa, FL and expected to be on-site at a customer location in a hybrid capacity. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing manual and automated testing of various software products within the AI/ML Data Factory context.
  • Documenting defects and providing clear and concise reporting.
  • Executing test cases and reporting defects to the software team.
  • Understanding the requirements (user stories) and writing test cases aligned with AI/ML Data Factory objectives.
  • Coordinating and participating in project meetings during the software development lifecycle.
  • Documenting and interpreting business and technical requirements for testing utilizing various development methodologies (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall). 
  • Participating in a variety of technical exchange meetings throughout the software development lifecycle, including collaboration with developers and data scientists.
  • Communicating testing result data to multiple audiences.
  • Serving as a trainer and updating user guide documentation.
  • Creating and delivering the test workflow framework and procedure for the client’s applications.
  • Conducting performance testing along with functional and regression testing, specifically related to AI/ML pipeline performance and scalability.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience (within the last 3 years) developing end-to-end automation scripts with test tools (Selenium WebDriver/RC preferred, similar tools accepted).
  • Demonstrated experience with test-driven development and Enterprise Lean Agile or other agile methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing test plans, test cases, and technical documentation specific to complex software systems, ideally with AI/ML components.
  • Experience using reporting and tracking defects in JIRA or similar tool.
  • Demonstrated experience with testing web applications across back-end, service tier, and presentation layers, including a variety of graphical user interfaces.
  • Experience understanding customer requirements and developing testing approaches for improving usability, functionality, and consistency with a focus on the end-user experience.
  • Demonstration experience conducting performance testing using tools such as; Jmeter, with emphasis on AI/ML workload characteristics.
  • Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently; self-starter.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance.

 Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting accessibility testing using tools such as; JAWS; Tota11Y, ZoomText or other similar tools.
  • Experience exhibiting communication skills, with demonstrated successful client engagement and collaboration.
  • Experience testing AI/ML models and pipelines.
  • Experience with data validation and data quality testing related to AI/ML datasets.
  • Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools. Experience testing big data technologies that underpin AI/ML pipelines.

This position is located in Tampa, FL. The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $165,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
