The Role:
Applied Flow Technology (AFT), a Datacor company and world leader in fluid flow analysis applications, is seeking a passionate and talented Software Developer to join our growing team and build the future of our software. Join us in shaping the next generation of flow analysis tools and push the boundaries of engineering simulation.
Responsibilities:
- Enhance and expand our Windows applications with new features and functionalities.
- Extend our reach into new technical areas and build seamless integrations with other applications.
- Champion Agile development practices using CI/CD pipelines, modern source control branching strategies, and QA test automation.
- Architect efficient and maintainable code through clean design principles and effective testing strategies.
- Craft intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that streamline complex workflows and empower engineers.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and other developers to deliver solutions that meet user needs.
- Stay on top of industry trends and embrace learning new technologies to continuously improve your skillset.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in VB.NET (Visual Studio 2019 or later with .NET Framework 4.6 or higher).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Experience with Git or SVN, GitFlow, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with WinForms control building and third-party controls (e.g. ComponentOne, GoDiagram).
- Familiarity with web services and multi-threading concepts.
- Understanding of XML and CAD 3D/GIS systems.
- Experience with automated testing platforms.
- Basic IT skills a plus.
This is a hybrid role based in Colorado Springs, CO.
