Mid Market Solutions Engineer
The Opportunity:
DataGrail is looking for an ambitious and driven Mid-Market Solutions Engineer to join our expanding sales team. This role is critical in helping us achieve our revenue targets by educating and engaging potential mid-market customers. This role is remote, mainly supporting East Coast business hours.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for showcasing our data privacy platform and engaging with a diverse set of stakeholders, ranging from legal professionals and privacy experts to CISO teams and engineers. You’ll be the technical bridge, ensuring our potential customers understand how our solutions solve their challenges while building confidence in both our platform and our ability to deliver results.
This is an opportunity to play a key part in a fast-paced, innovative startup, contribute to the company's growth, and advance your career as a solutions engineer. You’ll work alongside and directly learn from seasoned teammates, with the chance to rapidly scale your knowledge and expertise. If you’re someone who thrives in dynamic environments, loves solving complex problems, and is eager to grow professionally, we want to hear from you.
The Skill Set:
- Effective Communicator: You can present technical information in a clear, engaging way, making sure your audience feels confident in the message. You’ll avoid guessing answers, and manage your time to ensure the platform’s strengths have room to shine.
- Foundational Knowledge of Privacy & Technology: You’ll bring an understanding of privacy and/or compliance technologies and practices, gained through hands-on experience, consulting, or technical sales, allowing you to speak knowledgeably about the industry and its challenges.
- Confidence Engaging with Prospects: Put people at ease, engage the audience, and act as an ambassador for the organization. Your demeanor is professional, your presentations are organized, and you are composed when faced with live questions – even when you don’t know the answer.
- Quick and Confident Learner: You’re eager to learn fast and tackle new challenges. Whether it’s learning new technologies, understanding customer needs, or staying up to date on new product features, you embrace continual learning and improvement.
Within 90 Days You'll:
- Deliver High-Quality Demos: Master at least two of DataGrail’s products, ensuring you can demo them consistently and effectively. You’ll have prepared thoroughly, making sure your sales partners are confident in your ability to conduct successful presentations.
- Be a Trusted Teammate: Selling software is a team sport. You'll be a good teammate by always being reliable and prepared. You’ll stay organized, respect everyone’s time, and focus on getting better every day in all aspects of your role.
- Answer RFIs and RFPs: You’ll have a solid understanding of our platform’s capabilities, allowing you to confidently respond to written questions about the product. You’ll also know when to ask for help or to escalate questions that require deeper expertise.
Within 180 Days You'll:
- Excel in All Product Areas: You will be able to comfortably deliver comprehensive demos across all of DataGrail products and solutions, engaging audiences at various technical levels, because you know them inside and out.
- Win Deals: You’ll be able to lead and drive deals to close without requiring assistance from other solutions engineers. Your sales partners will look to you as a key partner who adds value on every call.
- Lead Deeper Evaluations: With guidance from your peers, you’ll be able to guide prospects through deeper phases of the evaluation process, including proofs-of-concepts and technical validations.
