Mission description

You will play a pivotal role in shaping Dataiku's product positioning, roadmap and requirements, under the responsibilities of a Director of Product Management in charge of one of the Dataiku offerings. You will act as the bridge between the field (Dataiku’s customers and the GTM team) and the internal product engineering team, ensuring that customer needs and market demands are effectively communicated and incorporated into the product roadmap.

This role is ideal for a professional with strong communication and presentation skills who is passionate about creating great customer experiences and influencing product development based on real-world feedback.

What you’ll be doing

  • Engage with customers to extract valuable insights about their business challenges and the utility of our products in addressing these issues.
    • Deliver engaging product presentations to customers, showcasing new features, updates, and future product directions.
    • Tailor presentations to different customer segments and levels of technical knowledge.
    • Actively engage with customers to gather their feedback, concerns, and suggestions during presentations and follow-up discussions.
    • Use surveys, Q&A sessions, and other feedback tools to ensure a comprehensive understanding of customer needs.
  • Analyze market forces, engage with industry analysts and Dataiku expert teams to execute on Dataiku’s product strategy, and collaborate with the Product Marketing team to align and deliver on product positioning messages.
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and customer needs to ensure the product remains competitive and aligned with market demands.
    • Regularly assess the effectiveness of product presentations and customer engagement strategies.
  • Work closely with the GTM teams and the Product Managers on your team to position the capabilities the product engineering team delivers, and ensure a product-market fit
    • Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams, ensuring that customer feedback, insights, pain points, and improvement suggestions are accurately communicated and understood.
    • Work closely with sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure alignment on customer needs and product messaging.
  • Participate in the development, maintenance and education on Dataiku's roadmap. Articulate to stakeholders your team’s technology vision, requirements, goals and milestones.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Engage in technical analysis or feature mapping that lacks a clear connection to the product's value drivers.
  • Product management focused on feature development - You work closely with the Product Managers and Technical Product Managers on your team to deliver and position the right product at the right time.
  • End-to-end product ownership responsibilities or extensive people management - you will focus on product research, design and prioritization, to maximize value creation and minimise risk of shipping the right solution to the wrong problem.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and a demonstrated ability to learn and thrive in front of a diverse audience in a very technical environment
  • Understand the challenges and needs to design, build and operate a wide spectrum of analytics  solutions (including advanced analytics, predictive analytics, ML-based GenAI-powered applications)
  • Ability to engage with business leaders and influence decisions without formal authority
  • Great communication skills (both written and oral), ability to clearly articulate and present complex situations and concepts. English native speaker or fully fluent required - with proficient writing level.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, capable of orchestrating multiple projects and supporting several teams in parallel and across time zones
  • Deep interest in turning data, analytics and artificial intelligence technologies to value

We offer a dynamic and exciting work environment, with opportunities for growth and development. If you are passionate about technology and have a desire to learn and contribute to a fast-growing company, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
