Field Engineer - Latin America

United States, Remote

At Dataiku, we're not just adapting to the AI revolution, we're leading it. Since our beginning in Paris in 2013, we've been pioneering the future of AI with a platform that makes data actionable and accessible. With over 1,000 teammates across 25 countries and backed by a renowned set of investors, we're the architects of Everyday AI, enabling data experts and domain experts to work together to build AI into their daily operations, from advanced analytics to Generative AI.

Dataiku is looking for an experienced Architect to join its Field Engineering Team as a Field Engineer. This position will support the deployment of Dataiku’s Everyday AI Platform to an ever growing customer base in the emerging Latin America market.

As a Field Engineer, you will work with customers on their enterprise-wide deployments of Dataiku. In this role, you will help customers design, build, validate, and operate Dataiku’s Everyday AI Platform. This role will also require you to work closely with Dataiku partners in the region - ensuring partners are properly equipped to provide technical expertise and guidance to our joint customers.

This role requires strong technical abilities, adaptability, inventiveness, business acumen, and strong communication skills. Sometimes you will work with clients on traditional big data technologies such as SQL data warehouses and on-premise Hadoop data lakes, while at other times you will be helping them to discover and implement the most cutting-edge tools; cutting-edge infrastructure deployment stacks, cloud-based elastic compute engines like Spark or Kubernetes, and deep learning on GPUs. If you are excited about staying at the bleeding edge of big data and AI while maintaining a strong working knowledge of existing enterprise systems, this will be a great fit for you.

How you'll make an impact

  • Evangelize the challenges of building Enterprise Data Science Platforms to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understand customer requirements in terms of scalability, availability and security and provide architecture recommendations.
  • Deploy Dataiku in a large variety of technical environments (on prem/cloud, Kubernetes, Spark, Hadoop, etc).

  • Coordinate with Revenue and Customer teams to deliver a consistent experience and message to our customers.
  • Train our clients and partners in the art and science of administering a bleeding-edge Elastic AI platform.
  • Drive technical success by being a trusted advisor to our prospects and our internal account teams to provide the best recommendations and advance customer accounts.
  • Troubleshoot complex customer issues when necessary

What you'll need to be successful

  • Strong Linux system administration experience.
  • Hands-on experience with the Kubernetes ecosystem for setup, administration, troubleshooting, and tuning.
  • Experience with cloud based services like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Grit when faced with technical issues. You don’t rest until you understand why it does not work.
  • Comfort and confidence in client-facing interactions.
  • Hands-on experience with the Hadoop and/or Spark ecosystem for setup, administration, troubleshooting, and tuning.
  • Some experience with Python.
  • Familiarity with Ansible or other application deployment tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc).
  • Experience in a client facing role as well as experience working with system integrators
  • Language: Must have bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.

Location: Must be located anywhere in the mainland United States.

What will make you stand out

  • Experience with authentication and authorization systems like LDAP, Kerberos, AD, and IAM.
  • Experience debugging networking issues such as DNS resolutions, proxy settings, and security groups.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
