How you’ll make an impact:

As the Employee Relations Lead, EMEA, you’ll be instrumental in defining and advancing our global ER strategy, ensuring it aligns closely with our talent and business priorities. In this role, you’ll help craft our scalable approach to employee relations, lead initiatives that have a broad and lasting impact, and oversee complex ER matters across EMEA. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners in Legal and People to ensure compliance with local employment legislation, promote a positive employee experience, and support leaders in handling sensitive workplace issues with confidence and care.

Key Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Provide expert guidance and hands-on support for employee relations issues, including HR/whistleblowing investigations, disciplinary actions, performance management, workforce reductions, change management, employee grievances, conflict and dispute resolution, and policy interpretation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and People Business Partners (PBPs) across Europe.
  • Ensure all ER activities comply with local labour laws and internal policies.
  • Partner with legal counsel to manage risk and support investigations or legal proceedings.
  • Monitor local employment law changes and proactively update policies and practices.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, equitable ER processes across the region.
  • Support collective labour negotiations with works councils (France), or other social partner relationships as needed in the future (Germany and Spain).
  • Deliver training and workshops to managers and employees on employee relations topics, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement and alignment to Dataiku’s values.
  • Ownership of case management (including investigations, grievances, conduct/policy breaches and other disciplinary matters and appeals), analyzing ER trends and developing actionable insights to improve overall employee experience and organisational culture

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 6+ years of experience in employee relations or HR legal advisory roles in a global, fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of managing complex ER cases across multiple jurisdictions in EMEA
  • Ability to deliver commercially focused and pragmatic approaches to resolving ER issues
  • In-depth knowledge of French and German employment laws; UK labour law experience is highly desirable
  • Fluent in French and German (both verbal and written) plus English fluency required
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and build trust at all levels

What will make you stand out

  • Prior experience working with works councils or trade unions
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organisation, preferably in the software development industry
  • Certification or formal training in employment law or employee relations
