Empathetic, intellectually curious, deeply humble, and energized by change. People don't always talk about accountants this way, but we do. This is how we hope to describe the Senior Accountant who will soon join Dataiku to help us build out our finance and accounting teams in EMEA and globally.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the month-end close process and meet deadlines
- Prepare and record monthly transactions to support the G/L close
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Work with third-party accounting/tax firms to ensure the completion of Financial Statements, Tax returns, and VAT returns for our legal entity
- Work with FP&A to identify and explain fluctuations in monthly financial information
- Work with and support the revenue accounting team
- Support the annual year-end audit and any regulatory or tax audits
- Work with and support international accounting teams
- Support tax projects and tax accounting
- Support the financial reporting processes for internal and external reporting
- Assist in setting up processes and procedures for new international entities
- Perform ad hoc projects for management
- Participate in system implementations, improvements, and upgrades
Qualifications:
- ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
- UK GAAP, IFRS required
- 5+ years of experience in accounting
- Able to achieve results in a fast-paced, high-growth, global environment
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
- Able to work on a team and independently to deliver results
- Netsuite experience is a plus
- International exposure is a plus
- SEC exposure is a plus
