Full Cycle Recruiter (Contract)
Fully Remote - can be based anywhere in the U.S.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Cycle Recruiter on a 6-month contract basis to support our growth phase. This role will manage the entire recruitment process for approximately 1-3 FTE hires at a time across multiple departments and levels, primarily for engineering and product roles. This is a remote position requiring primary availability during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.
Contract Details
- Duration: 6 months (with possibility for extension)
- Hours: Up to 20 hours per week
- Pay Range: $55-$70/hr DOE
- Location: Remote, United States
This position reports to the Head of Talent Acquisition and will work closely with leaders across the organization and the Senior Manager, People Operations.
Responsibilities
- Execute full life cycle recruiting: meet with hiring managers for recruiting intakes, post and manage roles in our ATS (Greenhouse), source passive candidates, schedule and phone screen candidates, and deliver a stellar candidate experience
- Schedule and run interview feedback debrief meetings with hiring teams
- Guide offer process to close in partnership with Senior Manager, People Ops and hiring managers
- Work with Senior Manager, People Ops to ensure smooth handoff from offer stage to onboarding
- Foster a service-oriented culture that ensures delivery of efficient, effective, quality driven service to internal hiring teams and external candidates
- Build and maintain network of potential candidates through proactive market research and on-going relationship management
- Evaluate candidates for alignment with DataKind’s mission and values
- Prepare hiring teams by developing cohesive interview plans and best practices for interviewing
- Update metrics dashboard to track client diversity and sourcing
Minimum Qualifications
- Alignment with DataKind mission and values, including our commitment to anti-racism
- Experience working across lines of difference (culture, identity, and time zone)
- 3+ years of experience in full life cycle recruiting across a range of positions (senior, people managers, ICs, technical and non-technical)
- Experience and expertise using Greenhouse ATS
- Previous experience as a contract recruiter is a plus
- Demonstrated expertise recruiting for nonprofit or small organizations and startups
- Demonstrated ability to advise and guide hiring managers through the recruitment process

- Demonstrated ability to source candidates with niched areas of expertise (specifically education-technology)
- Self-directed with a high sense of urgency while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail
- Strong customer service mindset
- Excellent communicator and problem solver
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and maintain unwavering poise under pressure
- Highly organized with a knack for building relationships
- Sharp eye for detail and precision
- Experience recruiting for ed-tech or similar mission-driven organizations
- Familiarity with recruiting for diverse roles including leadership, technical, and nonprofit-program positions.
- Willingness to inform and improve existing recruitment processes that are still being developed
- Creative approach to candidate sourcing and engagement in limited-resource environments
