Renewal Manager
Description
Come meet Datarails! We're a small (~310 employees globally) FP&A platform designed to streamline and automate data consolidation, reporting, and planning while allowing finance teams to continue using their own Excel spreadsheets and financial models. Datarails integrates with the most popular accounting software, ERPs, and CRMs to build a single source of truth, reduce risk, make informed decisions, and ensure stakeholders have the most reliable data at their fingertips.
If you're looking for a high‑impact opportunity to build a function from the ground up and shape how a fast‑growing SaaS company approaches renewals, we’d love to meet you.
As a Renewal Manager at Datarails, you’ll own and operationalize the renewal motion end‑to‑end. This is a true 0→1 role: you’ll manage renewal cycles, run commercial negotiations, and design the processes, systems, and forecasting models that will scale with the business. Your primary focus will be protecting and growing recurring revenue while improving Net Dollar Retention (NDR). You’ll partner closely with Customer Success, Account Management, RevOps, Finance, and Legal to ensure renewals are predictable, timely, and aligned with customer value.
This position is 100% remote-based anywhere in the United States or Canada. No sponsorship or relocation assistance is available.
What You’ll Do
- Own and manage the full renewal lifecycle for mid‑market and enterprise customers.
- Build, document, and continuously refine the renewal process, workflows, and playbooks.
- Maintain rigorous renewal pipeline hygiene and forecasting accuracy in Salesforce.
- Lead commercial conversations, including pricing adjustments, contract terms, and multi‑stakeholder negotiations.
- Partner with Customer Success and Account Management to ensure alignment on customer health, risks, and expansion opportunities.
- Identify renewal risks early and proactively drive mitigation plans.
- Improve cross‑functional coordination with RevOps, Finance, and Legal to streamline deal execution.
- Establish scalable systems and processes that reduce last‑minute renewals and increase on‑time execution.
- Track and report on key metrics, including GRR, NDR, forecast accuracy, and renewal cycle times.
Requirements
- Direct renewal management experience in a B2B SaaS environment (beyond AM/CS exposure).
- Experience managing mid‑market or enterprise renewal cycles.
- Proven track record of owning renewal pipelines, running commercial negotiations, and closing renewals on time.
- Strong CRM discipline (ideally Salesforce) and comfort managing high‑volume, deadline‑driven workflows.
- Exceptional organization, operational rigor, and attention to detail.
- Confident negotiator who can balance customer satisfaction with revenue protection.
- High agency and ownership — thrives in environments with limited structure.
- Experience building or improving processes, not just executing them.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence without authority.
What We Offer
- Base compensation: Target range of $90–110k USD per year, depending on experience, skills, and location.
- Meaningful equity
- US: 401(k) with up to 4% match
- Canada: 4% RRSP contributions
- US: Top‑tier medical, dental, and vision coverage with 100% paid employee premiums + generous dependent coverage
- Canada: Extended healthcare coverage
- Parental leave
- Flexible PTO + 12 paid company holidays
- Life insurance and more
