IT Project Manager
Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for an experienced IT Project Manager
The Project Manager will manage the activities and delivery of an experienced technical team supporting the modernization of a suite of Intelligence supporting applications to a Cloud based platform.
Job Duties:
- Conduct technical program management, budgeting, scheduling, trade-off analysis, lifecycle costing, manpower assessments, risk management, supportability, test and evaluation, and requirements development.
- Create and maintain Program Management Plans and Risk Registers.
- Monitor, report, and manage actions based on industry, program, and customer activity to ensure program success.
- Meet with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables.
- Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and implementation of all contract support activities.
- Manage and control schedules and cost to ensure timely and within budget performance of all aspects of the contractual effort.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of contract deliverables; establish performance metrics, track key milestones, and manage risks to meet program objectives.
- Provide regular briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership on program status and challenges.
- Mitigate risks by implementing governance frameworks, quality assurance processes, and risk management strategies.
- Facilitate cross-functional, cross-branch, and cross-division communication to meet project goals with minimal customer impact.
Required Education, Certifications and Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a related scientific or technical discipline
- PMP certification or DAWIA III Certification in Program Management.
- TS with SCI eligibility
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in IT organizational support management
- Extensive experience utilizing project management principles, processes, strategies, and techniques to oversee budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with strong client management, presentation, and facilitation abilities.
- Results-oriented professional with a background in high-level collaborative environments, promoting teamwork mentality.
- Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Proven ability to participate in the analysis of IT and business issues, specifically the translation of concepts to technical implementers and non-technical decision-makers clearly and completely with minimal preparation.
- Experience supporting technology delivery to commercial or government clients (via engineering, testing, deployment, operation, or maintenance of IT systems)
- Proficient in using Project Management Tools (e.g., JIRA/Kanban, MS Project, & MS Office).
- Familiarity with Agile Software Development and DevOps practices.
- Detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks independently.
- Skilled in identifying and mitigating risks.
- Demonstrated high critical thinking, communication, leadership, and influencing skills with balanced technical, financial, and business acumen.
- Comprehensive knowledge of business processes, change management methodologies, and project management principles.
Desired Qualifications
- Greater than ten (10) years' experience in IT organizational support management for programs with employees in multiple locations (Preferably Army)
- Experience managing projects supporting AWS or Azure solutions
- CMMI, ISO, and Quality Management Systems experience
- Experience in a DOD engineering development environment
