Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer Cloud Certified (Journeyman) to support the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-based systems within the Army Resource Cloud (ARC/cPROBE) environment. The candidate will be responsible for managing cloud infrastructure, containerized environments, and system optimization while ensuring compliance with DoD and Army standards. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with 3+ years of experience in systems engineering and cloud technologies, who is eager to contribute to the enhancement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the Army's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes. The selected candidate will play a critical role in maintaining system availability, implementing secure practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the Army's operational capabilities.

Required Qualifications

  • Active or Current DOD Secret Clearance or required TS/SCI with a completed favorable SSBI
  • Current Security + Certification
  • Certification from at least one DoD‑approved cloud service provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, or other approved clouds)
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within the last 5 years is required. This experience should include hands-on work in systems engineering, particularly in cloud environments and containerization technologies. ​
  • Must have a strong background in systems engineering, with expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Highly experienced in managing cloud environments, including tasks such as creating virtual machines, managing virtual private clouds (VPCs), and implementing security measures.
  • Proficient with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and container orchestration tools
  • Completed industry-recognized certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or other cloud-related certifications are preferred, as they demonstrate advanced knowledge and expertise in cloud technologies. ​

 

Desired Qualifications

  • A solid understanding of DevSecOps practices, including automated CI/CD pipelines, secure deployment processes, and integration of security measures into the software development lifecycle. ​
  • The ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system and application issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. ​

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver systems engineering support across all PPBBOS environments
  • Develop and support cloud-hosted capabilities per DoD requirements
  • Assist with architecture planning and system design
  • Translate mission requirements into actionable engineering tasks
  • Prepare and maintain system diagrams, configuration docs, and engineering artifacts
  • Support integration of cloud services, applications, and systems
  • Ensure compatibility across enterprise components
  • Participate in lifecycle management activities
  • Support cloud deployment activities
  • Perform configuration updates for cloud and hybrid environments
  • Assist with release readiness, environment preparation, and system validation
  • Apply DoD‑approved cloud security controls
  • Implement Security+, 8140, and cloud-provider standards
  • Support security scans, audits, and corrective actions
  • Conduct system and integration testing
  • Validate system functionality following updates and deployments
  • Troubleshoot cloud and systems issues across PPBBOS infrastructure
  • Work with Cloud Solutions Architects, Software Engineers, Enterprise Security Specialists, Application Developers, Systems Engineers
