All hired employees are expected to have experience with Microsoft Copilot and / or an approved equivalent AI solution.

Job Responsibilities:

As an OSIsoft/AVEVA PI Engineer at Data Systems Analysts, you will be part of a growing business offering at the intersection of energy management, advanced analytics, and cybersecurity. As part of your work, you will actively translate customer requirements into functional and technical designs. You will participate in designing and implementing projects that provide situational awareness and operational intelligence using the OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System.

DSA's CIP team delivers value by integrating diverse operational systems onto a common data platform while deploying advanced analytics to improve efficiency, resiliency, and mission effectiveness. Within the CIP team, you will regularly work with and integrate data from Building Automation Systems (BAS), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), and other third-party systems into the PI System. You will leverage PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Analytics, PI Vision, and related reporting tools to support data analysis, validation, and operational insights. Our group supports customers across government, utilities, higher education, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, and other critical infrastructure sectors. As a systems integration team, we focus on delivering measurable value to our customers' missions through scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions.

The majority of your time will be customer facing and project focused. We are seeking a motivated U.S. resident who is comfortable operating in both technical implementation and customer consulting environments. Targeted training will be provided to support continued professional growth; however, candidates should possess a solid hands-on foundation with the PI System and be capable of contributing independently within the first 1 to 3 months.

The successful candidate will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of new PI System integration projects while also providing operational support for existing environments. Responsibilities include solution design, system integration, PI administration, troubleshooting data collection and interface issues, monitoring system health, supporting customer requests, maintaining PI infrastructure, and assisting with system upgrades and enhancements.

Approximately 60-70% of the role will focus on customer-facing solution design, implementation, and project delivery, while 30-40% will focus on PI System administration, troubleshooting, operational support, and maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate enjoys systems integration, has a customer-first mindset, takes ownership of technical challenges, and is eager to continuously learn new technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical role involving system implementation, integration, and support
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with the OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System, including PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Data Archive, interfaces/connectors, system configuration, troubleshooting, and administration
  • Experience integrating or supporting operational technology (OT) environments such as BAS, ICS, SCADA, or similar industrial systems
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts in customer-facing environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to successfully pass a background investigation

Desired Qualifications:

  • OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System Certification or Accreditation
  • Experience designing and delivering enterprise PI System implementations and integrations
  • Experience working with Building Automation Systems (BAS), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), or Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
  • Experience configuring PI Interfaces, PI Connectors, OPC DA/UA, Modbus, BACnet, DNP3, MQTT, or other industrial communication protocols
  • Experience with PI Vision, PI Analytics, PI Integrator, PI Web API, or PI SQL Client
  • Experience with scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar technologies
  • Familiarity with Azure, Azure Government Cloud, or hybrid cloud environments
  • General understanding of facility operations, central plant systems, industrial automation, or energy management
  • Experience with predictive analytics, digital twins, or advanced operational analytics is a plus
  • Experience supporting federal, DoD, utility, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure customers is a plus
  • This position is remote within the United States

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
