Marketing / Design, Archival Intern
As an Archival Intern, Marketing / Design you will work closely with the Design Project Manager to archive, organize, and maintain both digital and physical design files and assets. You will be an integral part of the team, helping to streamline processes and ensure that design assets are well-organized and accessible to the team.
This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital design archiving within an art gallery environment, while learning about the intricacies of design workflow, file management, and team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- File Organization & Archiving: Assist in organizing, archiving, and facilitate migrating both physical and digital design files, including images, project files, and presentations.
- Design Documentation: Help maintain and update design project documentation in Google Drive, Notion, our server and other collaborative platforms.
- Archive Quality Control: Assist in confirming that once projects are completed, files are correctly saved, organized and archived.
- General Administrative Support: Provide any additional general administrative support to the design team.
Qualifications:
- Experience with digital and physical file management and archiving.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work semi-independently while exercising sound professional judgment.
- Must be a team player with a collaborative and positive attitude.
- Skilled in the use of standard office equipment and software.
Nice to have:
- Interest in the art world and design.
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, Slack, and Notion.
The Summer internship runs from June through August. Hours are 10AM-6PM, 5 days a week, from the DZ office 4 times a week. All interns are paid NYC minimum wage of $16.50/hour.
