About the Opportunity
Digital Marketing & Client Development Intern
David Zwirner seeks a highly motivated Digital Marketing & Client Development Intern to support its New York gallery locations. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to become part of an innovative team working across global locations. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in the arts, strong organizational and communication skills, and enthusiasm for the evolving intersection of art, client relations, and digital strategy.
Qualified candidates should be highly personable, organized, motivated, and responsible, with an interest in gaining experience in the daily operations of a contemporary art gallery.
What you’ll do:
- Assist the Client Development team in entering information in the database, updating. existing records, creating new records, and supporting the Sales team with research projects.
- Work alongside the Digital Marketing and Client Development teams to collaborate on data and reporting, and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Utilize various technological platforms to help process inbound messages to the gallery.
- Help liaise with the global team of gallery assistants to ensure continuous inbox coverage and best practices.
- Join weekly meetings and engage with a broad range of Marketing, Client Development, Digital, and Sales team members.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and department needs as assigned.

What we would like you to have:
- A genuine interest in contemporary art and David Zwirner’s program; one previous art industry internship preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong time management, diligence, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
The Summer internship runs from June through August. Position hours are Monday - Friday, 10am–6pm and the candidate must be available at least 3 days per week, with a preferred schedule of 5 days a week. To ensure that our interns have a well-rounded and educational experience, we ask for a commitment of approximately 3 months. All interns are paid NYC minimum wage of $17/hour. All candidates must be residents of NY, NJ, or CT. No lodging or commuting expenses will be provided. Only qualified candidates will be contacted. Absolutely no calls or walk-ins please.
