We provide tech-enabled mental health care to kids ages 5-19 and their families. We partner with public school districts to reach the most vulnerable populations, and with health insurance companies to cover the cost of care for families.

About the Role

We are seeking a User Growth Lead to develop and optimize the patient acquisition funnel beyond school-staff referrals, focusing on parents, caregivers, and community-based referrers. This role will also refine the existing school-staff referral funnel, ensuring a data-driven, high-impact digital marketing strategy that drives engagement and growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Expand referral sources beyond school staff by activating parents/guardians, pediatricians, and community-based organizations, and optimizing the existing referral funnel for school-based referrals. Key strategies include:
    • Building partnerships
    • Leveraging organic content
    • Managing paid campaigns to drive growth.
    • The focus will be on expanding outreach efforts and improving referral processes to increase engagement and enhance service delivery.
  • Develop and execute a digital marketing strategy, including:
    • Managing website content, tracking, and search visibility, with a focus on user experience.
    • Implementing a cost-effective social media strategy, with an emphasis on owned media.
    • Leading email marketing efforts with a focus on both acquisition and retention. Responsibilities include list segmentation, campaign management, and HTML template creation to engage new audiences while nurturing existing relationships.
    • Experimenting with text messaging campaigns to increase engagement with non-school-staff referrers.
  • Write engaging content for digital channels and conduct A/B testing to optimize messaging effectiveness.
  • Lead Daybreak’s internal User Engagement forum, analyzing digital marketing performance and refining strategies accordingly.
  • Use data-driven insights to assess campaign performance and pivot strategies as needed.
  • Report key findings and growth initiatives to the Chief Growth Officer, providing recommendations for scaling successful efforts.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in user growth marketing, with a track record of building and executing a year-round strategy.
  • Expertise in email marketing, with proficiency in Iterable.
  • Social media channel management experience required.
  • Experience with paid ads/performance marketing is a plus.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external consultants in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curious and data-driven mindset, with a commitment to staying on top of the latest marketing trends and technologies, including AI-driven marketing solutions.
  • Ability to uncover and test new, high-potential channels to engage families and communities.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in Looker, Salesforce, and Google Analytics preferred.
  • B2C is required, combination of B2B and B2C experience preferred.
  • Experience marketing products or services for youth and adolescents is preferred but not required. Daybreak will provide training on adolescent mental health to the selected candidate without direct experience.

Step 1: 30-minute intro chat with Recruiting – Let’s get to know each other!

Step 2: 45-minute interview with the Hiring Manager – Deep dive into your experience.

Step 3: Take-home assignment – Put your skills to the test, then discuss your approach with the team.

Step 4: Assignment interview with the Hiring Manager + relevant stakeholders in a panel discussion.

Step 5: 2-3 1:1 interviews with cross-functional leaders (same pool as Step 4). One of these will be with our CEO and Co-Founder here at Daybreak Health. 

Compensation

Daybreak’s compensation is a mix of cash and equity- we are projecting that this role will have salary range between 120k-150k per year. As a high-growth company on a mission, we value employees who are fully bought in and want to be owners of the company. We offer competitive cash compensation and above-market equity, ensuring long-term ownership and upside.

We also have a strong benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, a flexible remote-first working environment, and parental leave. Unlimited PTO with an enforced minimum of 3+ weeks off per year and regular company mental health days.

Pay Range
