Texas LCSW/LPC/LMFT: 1099 Remote Therapist

Texas (Remote / Virtual)

Add a California license, on us, and step into a caseload that fills.

Overview

Join our mission to make quality mental healthcare accessible to every person who needs it. At Daybreak Health, you'll be part of a movement to remove barriers to care and help people of all ages thrive emotionally and mentally.

We started by serving adolescents, and we're now growing to serve adults as well. That growth is why this position is open. We partner with over 60 school districts and dozens of health plans, and we are expanding to meet the demand for both adolescent and adult therapy. For Texas clinicians, that expansion is the opportunity: we'll help you get licensed in California, cover the cross-licensing fees, and place you directly into our health plans, where open slots get booked.

Why Texas Clinicians Are Joining Us

  • Your Texas license is the starting point. We're looking for fully licensed Texas providers who want to expand into California.
  • We show you exactly how to get the CA license. You get step-by-step guidance from our team, not a maze of paperwork to figure out alone.
  • We cover the cross-licensing fees. Once you complete the process and start with us, we reimburse you.
  • We handle all credentialing with our health plans. We'll credential you with our health plans, which currently has a 98% fill rate, so open slots are booked slots. Referrals are consistent and reliable, which means you can build a full caseload without chasing clients or marketing yourself.

Compensation (1099 Independent Contractor)

Earn $55-$75 per session based on weekly caseload, with no cap on earnings. The more clients you see, the more you earn.

  • $340 paid onboarding training stipend
  • Free continuing education credits year-round
  • A dedicated intake assistant who handles initial scheduling and consent forms
  • Malpractice insurance included
  • Biweekly pay, with Daybreak handling all billing
  • Flexible caseload: start with as few as 5 sessions per week and grow from there

Flexibility & Support

  • Fully remote: Work from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Flexible schedule: Choose your own time blocks anywhere between Monday and Sunday, 8 am to 8 pm Pacific Standard Time (weekends optional).
  • We handle the admin: Billing, credentialing, scheduling, and consent forms, so you can focus on care.
  • Supportive clinical community: Peer consultation, collaborative networks, and team discussions.
  • Professional development: CE credits and ongoing training.

What You'll Do

  • Build strong, supportive relationships with clients to create a safe therapeutic space
  • Provide evidence-based individual teletherapy to adults and adolescents experiencing mild-to-moderate mental health conditions

  • Experience working with youth and/or adults in clinical or school settings
  • Comfortable providing telehealth services

Note: This role is open to fully licensed Texas clinicians only. Associate and provisionally licensed clinicians are not eligible.
