The Role

Daylight is hiring a Sales Development Representative (Home Energy Rep) to fuel top-of-funnel growth for our battery backup + solar offering. In this role, you’ll be responsible for outbound lead generation, qualifying prospective homeowners, creating deals and booking consultations for our Account Executive (Energy Advisor) team. You’ll be expected to make 150+ dials per day, supported by email, text, and other outreach channels.

This is a fast-paced, high-activity role with direct impact. As the first point of contact for many customers, you’ll help more homeowners learn about Daylight and take their first steps toward energy independence.

This role is remote (US-based).

 

Responsibilities

  • Make 150–200 outbound dials per day to prospective homeowners in target markets
  • Qualify leads and uncover homeowner energy needs through discovery conversations
  • Schedule consultations and hand off qualified opportunities to the Energy Advisor team
  • Maintain accurate and high-quality lead records in HubSpot
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Growth leadership to refine messaging, targeting, and outreach campaigns
  • Consistently meet or exceed weekly activity and qualified meeting goals

 

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a high-volume direct-to-consumer role, or motivated to thrive in a similar role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident and persuasive on the phone
  • Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling and customer engagement
  • Willingness and excitement to travel up to 50% of the time (with percentage varying by month based on business needs)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; confident and persuasive on the phone
  • Highly resourceful, self-directed, and motivated to exceed goals
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and CRM hygiene (we use HubSpot)
