ABOUT THE ROLE
As Daymark’s first Care Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of the Care Team, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), LICSWs, Care Navigators, and other clinical staff. You will manage team members, oversee schedules, enforce policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensure smooth care delivery across both virtually and in our patient’s homes. The role also involves giving performance feedback, handling patient service recovery, managing external relationships, and working closely with the General Manager to support strategic initiatives.
Within your first few months we’ll expect you to:
- Build, manage, and develop the team: Provide leadership and feedback to RNs, NPs, and other clinical staff. Hire, onboard, and train team members, ensuring a high level of performance. Lead performance reviews and professional development initiatives. You’re monitoring clinical outcomes and team efficiency while providing constructive feedback to improve care standards and service delivery.
- Provide operational leadership: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Care Team, including staffing, scheduling, and adherence to clinical policies and SOPs.
- Lead Care Delivery Oversight: Ensure all care delivery processes across virtual, in-person, and at-home settings run smoothly. Implement strategies to improve care access and quality for patients.
- Patient Service Recovery: Handle escalated patient issues and ensure service recovery when necessary, maintaining the highest level of patient satisfaction.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Operations, Quality, and Training) to align care team efforts with organizational goals. Participate in external-facing activities as needed to support Daymark Health’s visibility and partnerships.
- Support to General Manager: Collaborate with the General Manager on strategic projects, reporting on team performance and suggesting improvements to workflows and care models.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Experience: Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the state of Rhode Island. Proven experience in a healthcare management or supervisory role, ideally at a startup or within a growing organization. Strong background in patient care delivery and clinical operations. Experience with virtual care and at-home healthcare delivery models is a must. Strong understanding of performance metrics and quality improvement initiatives.
- Strong manager. You’ve built and developed teams. You’re never afraid to get your hands dirty, but you can take a step back and think through strategic opportunities and solutions from 30,000 feet.
- Biased to action: You know how to identify and prioritize your initiatives and ensure that urgent and important tasks always get done.
- Tech savvy: You are comfortable caring for patients with cancer both in-person and virtually over video and web-based call software.
- Able to work in-person. You'll be working primarily in Rhode Island, but may work with the team in Connecticut and the Greater Boston Area.
