Senior Subject Matter Expert - Infrastructure
DB E.C.O. Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Help our clients to solve their strategic, operational, and financial challenges and improve their business performance.
- Lead and support the successful delivery of consulting projects in the area of rail infrastructure management
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at our clients and in the rail & transit industry in general.
- Utilize management consulting methods and work together with our local consulting team, leveraging the subject matter knowledge and expertise of Deutsche Bahn, amplifying the overall consulting impact for our clients.
- Communicate results effectively to staff level and senior management, create presentations that make explanations of complicated technical issues understandable to non-technical audiences.
- Mentor and coach junior staff
Requirements:
- 10+ years of leadership experience in rail infrastructure management
- Excellent understanding of infrastructure asset management, maintenance planning, investment planning
- Excellent understanding of best practices and benchmarks in rail network infrastructure asset solutions and in infrastructure management (processes & procedures, planning & maintenance strategies, organization, …)
- Excellent understanding of train traffic management, service planning, and operations
- Aptitude to leading complex projects / initiatives with high-profile stakeholder involvement
- Familiarity with management consulting approach
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Business-oriented mindset, desire to take responsibility and drive projects forward energetically
- Flexible, independent, and well-structured working approach
Working Conditions and Travel:
You may work from your home office and/or a well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. Occasional overnight travel by land and air.
Physical Requirements, with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to work at a computer workstation for periods up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to speak on the telephone for a total of up to 3 hours per day
- Ability to sit for up to 3 hours without breaks at meetings
- Ability to walk and stand for up to 4 hours without breaks at program site visits and meetings
We offer an annual gross salary between $161,000 and $188,000 USD for full-time employment, depending on professional qualifications and experience.
