Senior Consultant - Technical Consulting
DB E.C.O. Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Transform client requirements into effective and efficient operational plans.
- Responsible for overseeing and ensuring quality of technical work produced at your direction by analysts and consultants on projects.
- Develops and maintains strong client relationships.
- Perform research and quantitative analyses, conduct and coordinate studies and lead workshops.
- Present project results to senior management.
- Prepares proposals and pursuits, including the development of project methodologies, budgets and schedules.
- Leverage the knowledge and expertise of Deutsche Bahn’s railway subject matter experts in our other consulting projects, where applicable.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Transportation, Business Administration or similar (M.Sc.)
- At least 5 years of related experience with consulting for railway projects with focus on rail strategical transportation planning / urban planning / operations planning / route management etc.
- Outstanding analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently; aptitude to quickly grasp new concepts and effectively produce results.
- Strong written and verbal presentation and communication skills.
- Experience in using MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for performing analyses and developing quantitative models.
- Passion for tackling complex challenges in mobility and railway transportation sector.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with strong interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions and Travel:
You may work from your home office and/or a well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. Minimal overnight travel by land and air.
Physical Requirements, with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Ability to work at a computer workstation for periods up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to speak on the telephone for a total of up to 3 hours per day
- Ability to sit for up to 3 hours without breaks at meetings
- Ability to walk and stand for up to 4 hours without breaks at program site visits and meetings
We offer an annual gross salary between $115,000 and $125,000 + bonus (USD) for full-time employment, depending on professional qualifications and experience.
