Senior Data Analyst, Field Engineering
About Us
dbt Labs is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to lead and drive insights and analysis connected to dbt Lab’s Field Engineering efforts. In this role, you will leverage your analytical expertise to provide actionable insights that optimize field engineering operations, enhance customer experiences, and drive business success. You will work at the intersection of data analysis, business strategy, and engineering to enable our team to deliver exceptional value to our customers. The ideal Senior Data Analyst will have an extensive background in running SQL queries, designing analytics experiments, building consumable dashboards, and generating actionable customer insights.
This is a critical role for the organization and requires an individual with effective communication skills, outstanding business acumen, and the ability to work across various functional teams and internal partner teams. We are looking for individuals who are self-starters comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Work closely with business stakeholders, analytics engineers, and data engineers to deliver actionable insights and data-driven strategies.
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of pre and post sales initiatives, and allow us to monitor the health of product adoption.
- Optimize customer onboarding processes to reduce friction and drive the best possible user experience.
- Identify trends across our various customer segments to maximize customer success and drive retention.
- Execute on projects by working closely with revenue, customer support, operations, and finance teams to make a significant impact on go-to-market goals.
You are a good fit if you have:
- 5+ years of experience working in revenue and/or customer support analytics.
- Worked asynchronously as part of a fully-remote, distributed team.
- Proven to effectively collaborate across variety of technical and non-technical functions to drive towards goals.
- Proficiency in quantitative analysis geared towards drawing actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Experience performing exploratory analysis with minimal direction to answer ambiguous open ended questions.
- Experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL).
You'll have an edge if you have:
- Have a Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Applied Analytics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
- Experience developing and scaling a dbt project.
- Experience designing multivariate tests, synthesizing test results and building frameworks to make data-informed launch decisions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $127,000 - $154,000 USD
